What kind of range do you get on one charge?

The bike Douglas rides is the same as mine and the battery tracks the trip distance since the last charge as well as your overall distance, no assumptions necessary. For example today I left with 100% and now have 82% battery left and went 21 miles. I used ECO 30% for most of the ride generally...

    Hello from Boulder, Colorado.

Hey Duncan, I live in Denver with a heavy bike culture as well. So far only 1 fred got upset in the last 2 years (4000 miles), but I think most everyone else either a) is unaware b) doesn't care c) keeps their frustration (naivety) to themselves At work it is a little different since a...

    The new turbo Vado 2017

I too am a huge fan of my Turbo X with over 3500 miles on it and really no issues aside from one broken spoke a while back. The brakes are really the only issue with this bike, but if your getting the 2016 Turbo X I think they fixed those. Mine is a 2015. I personally like the hub drive...

    The new turbo Vado 2017

Compared to how cool the levos look, I am surprised with the teardrop tube they decided on, it looks massive from the front or rear. From the side it is just awkward, definitely not as sharp looking as the current turbos imho, but curious how they ride and given they have a mid-drive I am...

Wish your Turbo S had front suspension?

@bazzapage did the juice have much of noticeable purr in the motor or was it really low enough in volume? That is one thing I really like about the turbos, they are completely silent. I too have turbo x with a bodyfloat and any bike I ride now feels harsh comparatively. The Paragon fork is...

Second Turbo X Vibration in rear wheel

It was a unused 2015 unit and was never used as a demo. They had a demo one for 200 less but it was wrong size. I got the bike from a Specialized Dealer so hopefully it won't be a hassle. Ill be talking with them today so I'll let you know. It definitely feels like a defect as my other turbo...

Second Turbo X Vibration in rear wheel

Just picked up a second 2015 Turbo X on sale for my father. I have ridden it around 30 miles and noticed at 19 - 21 mph there is a vibration in the motor that vibrates the whole bike at a low amplitude but a high frequency. Any speed below or above has not vibration. Its kinda similar in feeling...

Some thoughts on buying a new battery for the Turbo

Sorry, I didn't mean to create a scare. I wasn't too worried about it for the same reason's Ann mentioned regarding repacking by a third party. Maybe by then they can pack in 800+ mwh or if I can get my resonance system working then no major battery needed at all, but I'm just a dreamer! Cheers!

Some thoughts on buying a new battery for the Turbo

I definitely second the seat post suspension. I picked up the BodyFloat which is about 100$ more but same difference. It does spoil you. When I ride a regular bike now it feels like my brain is bouncing around.... That bigger battery does sound awesome. Ill likely pick one up next year as well...

    Broken spokes

Just broke my first spoke at around 2800 miles. It was on the rear wheel at the nipple as well. It appears the nipple failed, but I won't know until later today when I pick up a new one and a set of spokes for the future. They will likely have to order the spokes unfortunately since they are so...

In Depth 2015 Turbo X Review

For work, we have an indoor rack as well, but I go lots of places other than work. Generally I don't leave it out longer than an hour or two, but it does make it even more discrete and give me some peace of mind.

    Brake pad life

I have consistently needed to replace my pads at around 1500 km. Cheers!

    2015 Turbo X, Maximum Speed?

Turbo X Rack and Fender Setup

Hello Everyone! Name is James. I have a 2015 Turbo X (Medium). I haven't posted here much, but thought I would share my setup in case someone is still looking into what rack or fenders to get. I have ridden over 2000 miles with this setup and it has been great! I got the basic Topeak Explorer...

Turbo Owners -- What's your total mileage? [OFFICIAL MILEAGE THREAD]

Roughly 2400 miles! Just did Firmware update and it reset my ODO though!!! No issues at all with the bike. I have replaced the pads twice, once at 1000 and 2000 miles and just recently did a full service, new chain, brake bleed, tightened battery. (I didn't bleed when I replaced the pads...

In Depth 2015 Turbo X Review

Great stuff! That comment from the bus driver is all I ever get. I have taken it on the bus nearly a hundred times and no one has ever said anything, other than the similar, nice bike, or that's a "tank". Also, I take mine in our elevator, and people are often like, what do you put in their...

    XD driver?

Did some more research. It appears it should fit just fine. The main issue however is the 9t gear is too tight for the chain and not 'road worthy'. According the manufacturer of that cassette its only intended for low speeds, like mountain biking as the chain will be prone to pop off at higher...

    Any Winter Turbo Riders?

Its likely not the motor, but the battery that is malfunctioning. Do you keep your bike/battery outside or in the garage? My bike is warm inside until I leave, both at work and home. If the battery gets cold it will malfunction for sure, that is a definitely necessity in the winter (remove and...

2016 Turbo X: First week (and beyond) commuting impressions

Maybe that seat post is allowing you to take those bumps a little too fast :). I just put a BodyFloat on my bike literally yesterday (amazing). I am definitely riding faster over things, so ill see if I start having issues with spokes too. Already, after my first 30 minute ride with it, I...

2016 Turbo S chain drops off chainring :(

I gave the clutch a 1/2 turn today. Thanks for sharing this! Hopefully it helps. Its behind a little plastic piece and accepts any 8mm. Here is a great writeup on how to adjust it. It looks exactly the same on the X7...
