Sorry you had such a bad experienced with Juiced. I had a Juiced bike and the battery went bad. They sent me a new one of larger capacity within a couple of days. I hadn't even returned the old one. And they gave me a free front basket. Granted, when I worked with them, they were a smaller...

I'm a big fan of carrying things on the front of the bike, though as has been mentioned, it can be unstable unless the rack is attached to the frame. If the basket isn't attached to the frame, a "deflopilator" spring to keep the front wheel from flopping to the side is helpful. See (Link...

My take was that Bionx had a high quality product at too high a price point. Especially now with all the decent, inexpensive options for a complete bike. Given the proprietary nature of their product, I don't think I'd purchase one unless it were at a very substantial discount.

@Ravi Kempaiah - I don't blame you for not wanting to make that long commute in the freezing cold after a long workday. Sadly, I find myself reaching for the car keys with much greater frequency now that it is cold, wet and dark. Not sure an e-scooter would be much of an improvement over and...

The light weight and simplicity of the bikes was nice, but they didn't change for so long. Last one I rode was 3 or 4 years ago and it didn't seem that easy to regulate the speed and it didn't have torque sensing. But nice, elegant bikes.

My reward after 5 hours of blowing leaves would be a nap! :-)

Good points, both, Hairy and Ed. Samsung has an OLED display which is quite prone to getting burned in. I wonder if the auto-dimming would make it dim enough to prevent burn in on an OLED display. It might almost be worth getting an older 'junker phone' to use with COBI if this is an issue.

Does the Cobi system prevent the phone from going to sleep or will the user still need to periodically login to the phone when using in "Cobi mode"? Does the phone maintain charge from the bike battery? I'd expect periodic logins wouldn't be required, but wanted to confirm.

When you say 'crank forward' are you talking about an extreme example of this such as Rans bikes or something milder like Electra Townie?
