As for reading the caliper model, I see a very tiny embossment on the caliper which I would have to remove caliper to read it. As such, knowing I have the L03A I'll go with the L05A-RF, seems to be more prevalent to find online. You're right about all those part numbers. Thanks a bunch

Just inspected pads, they are L03A. Looking at Shimano brake compatibility chart, they seem to be interchangeable with the L05A-RF. Chart doesn't explain difference between L or G? Thank you

The fork didn't fall all the way out, just an inch or two and as I pushed it back that's when it poked the upper bearing out. I'm just concerned about seating the split ring correctly. And when I followed Harry's instructions all seems fine now, I just don't see much holding that split ring in...

I didn't change it's orientation (I didn't reverse it) and I snugged it down between the fork shaft and the bearing, is there anything else to do or check it?
