    Himiway brakes

Did you buy the Juintech / Bolton e bike hydraulic break - which seem to be relabeled as Bolton? I might be incorrect about them being identical. Some seem to claim little difference between the mechanical disc vs this hydraulic conversion. And I wonder if a rotor replacement is necessary...

    Himiway brakes

After watching the YouTube video(s) on the hydraulic break conversion, I wonder if there is a downside to these breaks? I really appreciate your response to my query. Thank you.

    Himiway brakes

I think you are right! It is fun watching the genesis of e bikes. Maybe it’s always been there and now I’m noticing, but think in the next few years we will see a lot of changes. New companies for sure.

    Howdy From Kansas City

David, I still haven’t figured out why it makes a that scraping sound. I tried cleaning the discs with 91% alcohol. That helped then the noise came back. I also by accident noticed the rear disc bolts were all loose causing play in the system. I tightened them and it was good for awhile...

    Himiway brakes

You know, I’m thinking I’ve been around the block a few times and I will probably just stick with what I’ve got. I would surely screw myself in the long run trying to make a change to a bike that I’m 95% happy with. There will always be something else to spend $$ on in the future ..... I think.

    Himiway brakes

Yes we do have decent bike shops, I have a feeling they didn’t want to deal with it. It ok, now I know what to look for in my next bike. Certainly something lighter than 72 pounds! I’m good with my Himiway. I really do have fun riding it and that’s what counts.

Sorry for the lengthy delay in response and thank you for taking the time to answer! I was told by two different bike shops this could not be done. So I will keep and be happy with what I have. Thanks again.

Himiway Cruiser review: a cheap yet fast and long-range fat tire e-bike!

I am the author of the above entry. I am a few months in to owning my Himiway. It’s a 72 pound beast, but I have to say am still very satisfied with my purchase and make excuses to get out and ride. The rear break still makes a noise, but isn’t really an issue. It is a very solid...

Himiway Cruiser review: a cheap yet fast and long-range fat tire e-bike!

Here’s my customer service experience with Himiway: Ok, so I bought a previously owned Himiway with only 1.5 miles on it. The plastic on the light and display were still on, about as brand new as it gets. I have all the original owner’s name, and his Himiway order number in case of a warranty...

    Himiway fat tire seat

There are a few choices for the big easy seat. I’m not sure I got the best one or the best price. I just went to one of the local bike stores and bought it. Not a huge shopper anymore.

    Himiway fat tire seat

That sucks. Do you have a local bike store that can recommend a big ass soft seat? There are more out there on line- don’t give up!

    Himiway fat tire seat

I did see the first one (CRS-1) at another bike shop after I bought and installed my EX-RX. I thought, that it might be even cushier and perhaps even larger? But I also think that fabric on the seat of the (CRS-1) would absorb moisture especially if it got rained on. So I have regerts in my...
