Well eventually got the battery replaced upgraded FOC by giant, took 8 weeks due to Giant stock taking and BREXIT but this has solved the issue of the battery switching off mid ride :)

No idea and not really bothered who pays ultimately, I’m just happy Giant have stepped up to fix the problem regardless of how they do it.

I agree a big shout out to Giant Shop Newcastle 👏👏they could have said and charged me anything but identified the problem and fixed at minimal cost. Successful commute this morning no issues and even cycled through the gears a lot more, just need to get in the habit now :)

Dropped it off at the giant shop and they explained the cogs and chain were fine, the internal gear cable was damaged and derailleur was slight off. £28 for the cable and setup. Will see how it is on my commute tomorrow. Thanks for all the information on this, all very helpful

Great advice, thanks. on this occasion I will just take it to the shop in case I’ve damaged something as it was a heavy fall, thankfully my panniers took the brunt.

Don’t blame you for that. I got a check failed message when check the software version on the bike so I logged out to see if that fixed the problem. Only now I can’t get logged back in on either i0s or android 😔

Not really range anxiety , I was originally after the explorer version which was £300 dearer than the fastroad and as I purchased through the cyle2work scheme my cert was for the explorer price so decied to use the leftover cash on the range extender/👍
