    Bulls BMZ batteries

Hi all, as mentioned in other posts I am having some difficulty with my Bulls E-Stream EVO 45AM battery. It is a BMZ battery so this applies only to BMZ-fitted bikes. The motor is a Brose TF. I am on battery number 2, and it has given up the ghost after minimal riding. I have opened comms...

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

That’s what I have. Love the bike. Battery seems to be junk. My second one has crapped out on me with very few miles/hours. The first one did too. Never got an explanation for why/what etc. Unfortunately as nice as the bike is when it works, it doesn’t work that often. I’d avoid it in...

Not for the Brose TS motor AFAIK. Assume that’s what you have. If you have a different motor then maybe. Might want to contact your dealer or Bulls or Brose. Good luck.

1x conversion now complete. Really cleans up the controls, eliminates uncertainty as to gear selection, etc. Chain line is a-ok. Wolf Tooth suggested no need for a chain guard due to the clutched DR and it pedals great.

Converted to a 1x yesterday and today. Too much congestion with the front DR. Plus I’ve loaned the bike for some very short rides and the riders can’t seem to understand the concept of cross-chaining. But the real reason was for simplicity because I don’t really need the granny gear. I went...

BMZ Connect C Bluetooth module for Brose powered Bulls E-stream

Any update on this? I’d love to have the ability to do my own firmware updating vs taking it 1.5 hours each way to a shop. Thanks!

    2021 Evo AM 3 Issue

I had a similar problem. Nightmare with bulls. Check my report on it.

    Manufacturer Defect—-RESOLVED

Not a paint issue but I just got through a rather long warranty claim with Bulls. My battery on my E-stream Evo 45AM (or whatever that long name is) failed after about 20 hours of riding. To dealer twice to try to get it going. Then confirmed via dealer and Bulls that battery was no good...

BMZ Connect C Bluetooth module for Brose powered Bulls E-stream

Many thanks. Here is something odd — you mention that the app immediately detected a firmware update required and allowed you to update it. But on the Bulls website there is a specific question about firmware updates and the Bulls person says that it does not support firmware updates. So...

BMZ Connect C Bluetooth module for Brose powered Bulls E-stream

Thanks for the excellent review! I’m strongly considering this to avoid a 60 mile each way trip to my dealer for firmware updates and adjusting assist levels. Does the display show hours/miles of use? I guess I will find the app and see what I can fin.

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

Totally with you. I think what happened to work for me was pulling the lower part of the housing out from around the motor and then doing the “dental floss” sawing action back and forth until the housing traveled a bit more freely. In retrospect some silicone spray could have helped. It is...

Yes I’d be very interested in knowing how you make out. I would say while maximum drop is nice, 10-20mm too much saddle height is quite annoying and perhaps hazardous. Consider drawing the tension on your remote as tight as possible so as to provide the most responsive actuation.

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

Ok here goes. The Fox Transfer Dropper (150mm) was too long. Why, because it has a rather long “stack height.” I am about 71.75inches/182cm with fairly long legs and I just couldn’t quite swing the Fox at full extension. I decided to get one that really fits. So I bought a OneUp Dropper v2...

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

I am waiting for a Fox Transfer Dropper. Due to the 2x shifting configuration of this bike and the crowded left bar space I ordered and received a Wolf Tooth Barcentric remote lever. This dropper lever has an Enduro bearing that goes around the bar. It takes 15mm of bar space and you can...

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

Update. A few more rides, including a 30 mile ride yesterday with some very steep Cat 3 climbs on rutted single and overgrown double track. Bike was awesome. One thing, however — my Bloks display does NOT show 4 levels of power as in the video linked by linklemming above (thanks LL). My...

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

Today I did a slightly longer ride (16 miles) with about 1600 vertical feet of climbing on dirt roads (much of it very rocky and washed out). The bike is incredible stable, especially with the seat lowered for descents. The climbs were mostly quite steep, short curving sections. Again the...

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

Mine is the 45 AM. So maybe it is different from what you are considering. Today I did a short ride about 10 miles total with 950 feet of climbing, some of it quite steep. The bike pulled strongly with considerable effort from the rider too. The interesting difference is with an bike when...

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

@Stefan—thanks! The display is Spartan to say the least, but all I really need. Speed, boost level via “bars”, battery level via bars. On/off button and +/- button. Plus mini USB port. That’s it. Will try to show photo later. It is quite compact and therefore perhaps less prone to damage.

Just picked up my Bulls E-stream Evo 45 AM!

Yesterday I received my E-stream Evo 45 AM at my LBS dealer. All I can say is that my wildest dreams have come true and that I can’t wait to take it over some sweet jumps! That’s Napoleon Dynamite talking of course. Anyway it is very nice. I have the next to largest size frame (I’m 6’0”...
