FYI it is the Aventure, not ADventure. Keeping that straight will make searching for details here MUCH easier.

Aventure Pedal Grounds Out On A Turn

I was riding offroad and hit a small/med rock hard enough with my pedal not only to bend the pedal, but also deflect me directly into a LARGE rock where I proceeded to go *ss over tea kettle (as Charlie Behrens puts it) and I have even had a few pedal strikes on pavement as well. Shorter crank...

    Aventure Fork Upgrade?

I was wondering if anyone has replaced their crummy Zoom fork with something better? My fork bottoms too easily, has WAY too much flex, and is overall pretty poor quality so I was wondering if anyone has replaced theirs with an aftermarket unit? If so, what did you go with?

Aventure upgraded cadence sensor or programming?

That is what I suspected but figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

    Aventure wider tires?

    Do you have the Aventure?

    This is “normal”

    I truly appreciate the info.

    This is “normal”

Sorry to hear about your experience but it is much appreciated that you shared it. I was considering a Bikonit bike but from Bolton. My guess is that Kyle would be much better to deal with.

    This is “normal”

Yeah, the "normal" response kind of gave me pause.

They are actually pretty easy to bend back into place. You can use a tool to do so or use "finger power" to bend them back to normal. It is actually surprising that something that can stop that kind of weight can be "bent" so easily. Glad you got her back in business!

    Aventure wider tires?

I am considering a slightly wider tire size for winter use. I was wondering if anyone was running a wider tire and, if so, how much wider? I know the front has a bit more clearance on both sides to accomodate but the rear is the tricky part. It looks like there is not as much room in the rear...

That's exactly what I was thinking of. Thanks!

    NEW SONDORS LX

Agreed and I don't know where the shop had them set today. I rode my Aventure at 15-20 psi on my first ride and it rolled nicely on hard surfaces but when off-road I prefer 5-6 psi. Honestly, the tires on the Aventure are stiff enough on mine that I just leave them at 6 psi now but I may start...

    NEW SONDORS LX

Sorry, not meant to derail the thread but the Rockstar IS a Rockstar! I took off with pedal assist set at zero and it almost felt like a regular mountain bike. You "could" pedal this a while without smoking your legs. It is, in a word (two words actually) a TORQUE MONSTER! It actually felt quite...

    NEW SONDORS LX

Ok, so..... I got a chance to ride the LX at eBikes USA in Denver today. Mark called me to setup a test ride since I was on a waiting list. It was a short ride but here are my few takeaways: First and foremost this thing looks like a Stormtrooper (in white). It's a beast of a bike. The tires...

    NEW SONDORS LX

This a pic of the rack, fenders (metal) and bag that a Sondors rep sent to me. $300 for the whole set and they are selling it only as a package and not separately.

Aventure upgraded cadence sensor or programming?

I've ridden other ebikes with cadence sensors that react MUCH quicker than the one in my Aventure. I feel like I have to get in a full 360 degree rotation (seems like more) before the motor assist kicks in which makes climbing steeper switchbacks where you're on and off the brakes in corners...

It appears that some people "may" have these now. Any ride reports from any users here?

I'm always happy to hear ANY opinions that there are so thank you.

    Test ride on a Bikonit MD1000 (Mid-Drive) and HD 750 (Hub-Drive)

I recently took a stab at a Gravity Bullseye Monster XE and was fairly disappointed in the quality. I am now leaning heavily again towards the HD750. When you rode the HD 750 did you find the cadence sensor annoying (I realize a torque sensor is worlds better) or did it function fairly well?

    Test ride on a Bikonit MD1000 (Mid-Drive) and HD 750 (Hub-Drive)

I decided to take a chance on Gravity Bikes. I got the Bullseye Monster XE. It has decent components and appears to be beefy as heck (it arrived yesterday). Tuning and testing to commence today but I like what I see so far. Seems like a much more robust bike than the Rad Rover and only a tad...
