Known Issues & Problems with Magnum Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

    240. I bike only in the city never on trails. The key was for me was to switch to better suspension seat post. have ridden nearly 2000 miles since then and no further broken spokes (although i have spokes on hand in case they break)

    Loose spoke

The was re-spoked by the LBS (after 3 broke). That lasted 500 miles but unfortunately another 2 have broke since then. The LBS has reached out to the company but to no avail. I'd really hate to get a much more expensive bike but maybe it may have to be respoked again?

    Loose spoke

are there some brands that have less broken spokes? I have broken 5 in the 4 months (and 1000 miles) that I have owned my bike. I have been careful but NYC streets are terrible and it not exactly the smoothest of roads. It is making me question getting a different bike.

    Stromer Service and/or advice needed.

I was wondering if you guys recommend Stromer. I currently have a Mangum navigator but having issues with broken spokes -- 4 in 3 months and 900 miles. Because if this issue, I was telling my LBS that I was thinking of getting a different bike. He strongly recommended Stromer ST1, but it is...

Now i have a 4th broken spoke - almost 500 miles after the rear was re-spoked ... other than the spoke issue, it has been fine but i am really questioning whether or not i should sell this and go with another brand - in my 3 months of ownership, it has been out of service for almost 1 month...

About to purchase a new electric bike

when I got the navigator, which allows you to activate from a full start, I didn't think i would really use it, but it has been great to get a start at a light and then pedal without having to change gears all the time. I don't think I could live without it now.

less than one week after the 2 were replaced (after being out of service for almost 2 weeks, a 3rd broke. The LBS ended up replaced all the rear spokes and so far no further broken spokes (have gone over 300 miles so far).

    Metro Rear Spoke

hi, I had the same problem on my navigator - at 300 miles (about 1 month of ownership) 2 spokes broke. Then after those two were repaired, a 3rd broke within 20 miles. The LBS great and the entire rear wheel was re-spoked. 200 miles later hopefully it fixes this but if you look in the general...

About to purchase a new electric bike

availability for my price range -- i simply did not want to wait 3-4 months for a bike to come in. I had the choice between the magnum metro and Navigator - i liked the ride of the navigator much better -- felt much better than the metro, which has 26" tires versus 27" for the navigator.

About to purchase a new electric bike

Hi, I am a new member that made the plunge 5 weeks ago (Magnum navigator). Here are a few things that I would recommend considering before making the plunge: 1. how will you use the bike - for exercise, commuting, pleasure, how far do you plan on riding, how often? 2. how big are your hills...

Known Issues & Problems with Magnum Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Hi, new member, and I got a Magnum Navigator. After 3 weeks and 300 miles, there are already 2 broken spokes. Have other people had this problem? Is there something that can be done? I understand i should avoid bumps as much as possible but it is very difficult to to avoid on occasion...

    Magnum Navigator 27.5 Low step

contrats. I just bought one today to... I was debating this versus the Metro (which were only 2 out of four bikes that were available immediately). I am 240 lbs and have bad knees as well. The Navigator feels so much bigger but it rides great and I actually do use the throttle to start off...

    Hello from NYC

Thanks everyone for your advice. For my price point, I made the jump and got a Magnum Navigator. You guys are right - very limited availability especially at my price. I checked out Propel who basically did not have anything in my price. Of the bikes that were available for immediately were...

    Hello from NYC

I decided to take the plunge and get an ebike to use as an alternative to public transport. I have a 11 mile commute that entails going over a bridge (manhattan) which according to redit has a 3.5% grade for about 1/2 mile. I looking through the forums, I decided that i am looking for the...
