    intersting way of charging

Well, I know that some of the 2 prong tools are double insulated, which is supposed to be safe.

[#10] X52.. My 2021 X52 has major rear hub motor “grindage” at mile 16,383.

Actually, my bike is an Ariel Rider C class, and it has been problem free from the beginning. (2k plus a few hundred miles).

Thanks. That clears up that mystery (mystery to me, anyway).

    intersting way of charging

If nobody had reinvented the wheel, we'd still be driving around with sawed off log sections for wheels.

    Passed on a Dragster!

At one time I had a Honda 650 Silverwing with the same engine configuration. They also made it with a 500 cc, I believe.

It's possible the gears are sintered metal, instead of forged or machined. I suspect sintering may be a weaker way of making parts such as gears, though Wikipedia says it can be very strong. Just a thought.

    Passed on a Dragster!

I had a Suzuki 400 Burgman and a Yamaha Majesty 400, and really liked them both. Had motorcycles before that. Really liked the cvt (continuously variable transmission) which required no shifting or messing with a clutch. IOW, automatic. If I were to do it again, the Suzuki would be my...

    intersting way of charging

Interestingly, much of the world has 240 v. as standard household current. Some devices, such as digital cameras, come ready to accept 240. They have to, as the USA is in the minority with its 110-120 volt standard. I assume that their power tools, such as drills and saws, are also 240 capable...

SHOW us YOUR PIX here .... Odd, WeiRd ,UnUSuAl or EyE CaTchIng things from your rides

Long ago, I had two Irish setters. The male loved the water, and would enthusiastically drag ashore the biggest stick I could throw. The female would stand at the water's edge, and go "Eww" if her toes got wet. Is that succulent Ice plant? I remember it from my basic training days at Fort Ord.

The post said 3 liters of water, not 30.

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

In Australia (Queensland) many vehicles, mainly SUVs and pickups have snorkels that allow passage through water that would otherwise flood out an engine. That's because many normally dry gullies have high water from time to time; cheaper than building bridges over them. The approach to these...

Using a Pet Trailer with a Ride1Up Turris?

Long ago, I read a book called " Zoo Vet," by David Taylor, which has stories about his work. He said that when he arrived at one town, he was met at the station by a chimpanzee on a motorcycle, and that the chimp gave him a ride to the zoo. Everybody I've mentioned this to is extremely...

You may be confusing that notion with Grandma's admonition about not swimming for an hour after eating lunch.

    Issues with brand new ebike

I would guess that the loose spoke flexed, and metal fatigue was the result. I would be leery of the remaining spokes as well. The same problem that made British airliners fall out of the sky back in the fifties. (Anybody remember the name of that plane?)

Recommended air pump to carry on bike

For someone wanting a flexible hose between the pump and the tire valve, it would be quite easy to make up such a hose of any length you want. My hardware store (Hardware Sales in Bellingham, WA) carries the male and female fittings you would need, as well as the hose itself.

    Stupid E-bike games?

Washington State has a new (for about a year now) law that allows cyclists to roll through stop signs without stopping. I take advantage of this often, but I do remain alert for other traffic. That law of course does not give us the right of way over other traffic. On another note, Bellingham...

    National Bike Month

My accident 2 or 3 years ago happened about midway between two fire stations. Though I wasn't conscious at the time, I heard the EMTs from both stations had a jurisdictional dispute. I'm not sure whether it was "He's ours, in our jurisdiction," or "No, you take him, he's in your area." Not sure...

How do you use a new battery?

All I can add is 2 cents worth (or less): You can extend the life of hearing aid batteries if you don't listen. At least, I'm trying to persuade my wife that that's true.
