    Luna X1 stand

This is what I used actually, since it's also for a bike trailer: https://robertaxleproject.com/product/174-180mm-1-75-mm-thread-for-hitch-mount-trailer/ High quality, and lets you use an upstand or similar for a normal QR skewer. Just torque the thru axle first and then hold it in place and...

    Luna X1 stand

Because the X1 has carbon chainstays, there aren't good options for a kickstand. I picked up a couple of the clip on Upstanding and Corki stands that have a tab that either mount on a thru axle (or I have it on a Robert Axle Project thru-axle that has a threaded stud that is skewer sized for a...

Interesting Video on Luna X-1 By German Bike Mechanic

The good news is the rear freehub is a Shimano compatible splined freehub, with a SRAM PG cassette on it. It's more money but even going to Deore 5100 would only be $100 or so with the cassette, shifter, and rear mech, and it has the shadow+ clutch to prevent chain slap (the switch). As for...

Anyone notice creaking with the X1?

I checked torque on the rear shock pivots and they seem fine, I suspect some lubrication would help here. Sounds like slight binding/popping in the rear shock/rocker area.

    Frey CC

There are two ways I look at this. If it was a Specialized, I’m sure quality would be top notch and there would be minimal issues. 2-3 years down the line, my Vado or whatever would be obsolete with no upgrade path. The chinese ebikes are more like gaming PCs built from commodity parts. The only...

    Frey CC

It is. Basically another DW link style suspension.

    Frey CC

Yeah it's not worth $1K to me, torque sensing isn't as smooth as my wife's brose but good enough. I mostly want less jittery battery estimates and a small display. Regardless, I assume Bafang will use this form factor in the future, so I'd save that $1K to get a future version of the Ultra with...

    Frey CC

I just got mine yesterday, I asked for two things. First, I wanted a dropper post so my wife and I can share the bike easily, and second, I wanted better graphics as I like the bold logos on the eMTBs. Happy to say both turned out great. Anyone know if the Eggrider works on the G510? I have...

Giant NRS Comp (CF) small frame with Luna Wolf V2

What's the cover on your motor? The fact that the 'bafang' isn't level with the ground is driving me a bit nuts.

Giant NRS Comp (CF) small frame with Luna Wolf V2

It's a small- 15.5. Yeah it can slide back and forth on the magnetic mount.

    Atom Lynx 6 27.5 Pro

But... German engineering! j/k I wasn't trying to make a value judgement on the Yamaha, just that they seem to have made it impossible to enable Walk mode for US market motors. PS- I have a 911 too. Great cars.

    Atom Lynx 6 27.5 Pro

Sounds like you have one with the Yamaha drive. Unfortunately when researching the 5.5 w/Yamaha it didn’t seem like there’s any way to enable walk mode.

Giant NRS Comp (CF) small frame with Luna Wolf V2

I had a hunch that an older 26er FS MTB would be a good ebike, and turns out I was right. Bikes of the era have 68mm bottom brackets and larger triangles. I'm only 5'7" but I wanted the large Luna pack, and with the magnetic holder it just barely fits. 3D printed magnet holders for my early SLX...

    Atom Lynx 6 27.5 Pro

Perfect! For some reason I thought the US bikes had walk mode disabled, but maybe that's on the 5.5 w/Yamaha. Thanks.

I ordered the same bike. Can you tell me if yours is limited to 16mph, just wondering since I saw someone mention it in the thread. if it's truly an EU spec bike, does it have walk mode? Thanks!
