Your story doesn't match the pictures. There is not enough cardboard damage. They most likely boxed a damaged bike. They may have assembled a bike with a damaged fork.

Just a rule of thumb. Many manufacturers void the warranty if you modify original equipment. Since Aventon doesn't return customer e-mail messages and has virtually the worst customer service, does it matter?
