powertube 625 fails after 1400 miles with temp error

That's good to know. How did they replace it? Or are you speaking of Bosch replacing the entire BMS?

powertube 625 fails after 1400 miles with temp error

When looking at a potential $1000 repair bill, the first thing I did was web search the error and try the reset about 60 times over the course of a day in ambient 68 F temps with the battery on the test bench using every combination of button holding and pushing I could imagine. I tested the...

    Bosch battery failures

My 2022 bosch powertube 625 just failed at 1400 miles with a temp sensor error. I'm on the forums looking for answers other than "buy a new battery."

powertube 625 fails after 1400 miles with temp error

Three lights flashing; no charge; on the bike it is error code 605 This after sitting inside overnight in 68 F temps. Guessing the temp sensor has failed. Has anyone replaced one of these?

    I paid $4700 for a 65lb paperweight.

If it does the same thing with multiple different batteries and they checked all the wiring, why aren't they replacing the motor?

how I fixed my always on light on my $6k bosch ebike

So annoying that the light can't be turned off with the light switch because of some German nanny state rule. Now I can plug it in when I need the light, otherwise it is off. Nice work, Bosch; I don't totally regret buying your product yet but I doubt I will buy another.

Heres some real world ebike motor data.

That was my point. Can a safe speed be determined by a magic number, whether it be a speed limit or an ebike class? People should ride at a safe speed for the environment.

Heres some real world ebike motor data.

The 3 class laws are nonsense. On our bike path the speed limit is 15 mph. All of the plastic pants crowd on 13 lb carbon bikes are exceeding that limit continuously and dangerously, yet there is no enforcement. Why would it matter if a class 3 ebike is riding 10 mph on the bike path? Yet...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

Yes, it was more of a rhetorical question. The price is along the sales strategy of "might as well get a new bike because everything else is wearing out on it" when it actually isn't. Yes, Tom, it is 10s4p and 36v. No, I would not mix types of batteries. Maybe I was unclear; by "Also...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

why are these batteries $1000? I can get the LGGBMH11865, which is what my como 3 has, for $5 each. There are 40. That's $200. A decent bms is $50. I can spot weld and solder it together in a couple hours. I'm sure the manufacturers can get the parts for less. I built a battery for my...

The battery might be hard to get. Mine is at 90% after 229 cycles

    Specialized Como 3 wheel failure

Satirical comment about the $400? That is what the the local dealer quoted to build a 32h wheel replacement. How is that satirical? Item/Labor # Price WTB HTZ i35 Rim - 27.5", Disc, Black, 32H 1 $124.95 Labor - Wheel Build 1 $60.00 Spoke Placeholder 1 $60.00 Origin8...

    Specialized Como 3 wheel failure

Where are you getting the question "You expected lifetime warranty on all parts?" from what I said? I don't see that it follows. This thread is about the rear wheel. The wheel failure has to do with Specialized supplying the wrong wheel for the Como 3 in that time frame. I.e. 28h instead of...

    Specialized Como 3 wheel failure

Yes, the warranty is expired on mine. I would have expected specialized to replace the wheel for free since they recognize the problem with 28h wheels on the heavy bike as they started supplying later bikes with 32h. If I look at their website, it lists for my year: "RIMS 650b disc...

    Specialized Como 3 wheel failure

Not sure where these wheels came from. Looks like it says LBJ on the rim. All the cracks are on the drive side.

    Specialized Como 3 wheel failure

Hard to ride a Como 3 aggressively, in my opinion, due to the heavy weight and low power. I ride on poorly repaired bike paths and streets. Some parts are smooth and some are not. I weigh 155 lbs. It is not impact damage, as far as I know. The front wheel is fine. The wheel was fairly true...

    Specialized Como 3 wheel failure

Hi, I've had it for 3 years and ~6000 miles. The front wheel is fine at 28h. Specialized started putting 32h rims on these, maybe because of the failures?

    Specialized Como 3 wheel failure

Specialized supplied some Como 3s with 28h wheels. Result on mine was wheel failure. Contacted Specialized. They said to take it to the dealer you bought it from. Dealer was happy to offer to replace the wheel with a 32h for $400. Eh, I don't think I will buy another Specialized product.
