    New Front Light -- comments?

I have to say that I think the Rad Premium headlight is a WASTE OF MONEY. It is, in fact, an improvement on the headlight that came with my 2020 Radmini4, but if I ride at night, it is NEARLY USELESS for lighting up the road. I have numerous after-market bar-mounted lights, all purchased for...

Buying used Rad bike. would you?

Dennis - I agree with AHicks that there is probably something else wrong. I wouldn't hesitate to pay 500, though, and troubleshoot the thing.

    Seat height question

Remember that proper seat height has to do with distance from the top of the seat to the PEDALS, not the ground. At the bottom of the leg stroke, you want your down leg ALMOST fully extended (not quite locked knee). On a properly adjusted bike (for maximum EFFICIENCY pedaling), you cannot stay...

    What's in your toolkit?

I recommend an aftermarket multi-tool (I have a Topeak Alien), and do NOT rely on the Rad kit, except for the large wrenches. The Allen wrenches are not dependable. All of the advice given here is good. I am ordering a device called "original handlebar jack" (https://www.handlebarjack.com/)...

Rad mini Chain rubbing rear tire.

Either you derailleur or your derailleur holder is bent. If you are not comfortable diagnosing and fixing this, you should take it to a bike mechanic or shop for repair.

    Radmini cargo rack alternative?

Well, one LAST post on this subject. I bought a $25 rack on eBay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Back-Rear-Bicycle-Rack-Adjustable-Bike-Cycling-Cargo-Luggage-Carrier-Rack-Black/173944985987?hash=item287fedd983:g:ep0AAOSwNdFcpJuS) that does fit the mini well. Attached are pictures of the rack from the...

    New Rad Owner

To "AJ5258": I had the exact same problem, and after nearly dissecting the front wheel and brake unit called Rad customer service. They told me to put a bit of oil on the rubber spacer on both sides. Very little, because you don't want it slopping around and getting on the brake rotor. It solved...

Rad "Mini" step thru is 68 lbs ?

BTW, I think "Mr. Coffee" stated it PERFECTLY: <You can have it inexpensive. You can have it light. You can have it durable.> <Pick your two out of three.> YOU CANNOT HAVE ALL 3!!

Rad "Mini" step thru is 68 lbs ?

Is that rear rack from a Rad Rover? It looks HIGH. I have a mini now, and still have the rack from my previous Rover, but it seems too high on the Mini. I'm still looking for something more appropriate, without buying Rad's rack.

Gel Seat Cover for Rad Mini StepThru 2?

Consider a suspension seatpost, such as the Suntour Rad sells. I got one with my Radmini4, and love it. Combined with 20-25psi in the tires, I find it VERY COMFORTABLE over bumps. Now, that said, after 20 miles my butt is getting sore from the "too soft" stock seat, so I replaced it with a...

    Mini VS Rover

I am 5'6", 220 lbs, and I have ridden both the Rover and the mini (which I have now). The Rover, with its bigger tires, could in fact be more comfortable ON-ROAD, but was a HUGE machine, which I nicknamed "Godzilla". In all honesty, despite what the website said, it was TOO BIG for my body, and...

Known Issues & Problems with Rad Power Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I have had the Radmini4 now for about a week and a half. Only minor problems. Handlebars were not set straight, and the bolts that hold them on were MUCH TOO TIGHT. Rad instructions give specific torque values, but my experience with 2 Rad bikes is that whoever assembles them DOES NOT USE A...

    Radmini cargo rack alternative?

Correction to my previous post --- the Swagton V2 rack will NOT fit the Radmini. Its "legs" are too short, and the front won't reach the mounts on the mini. So we're left with the Onway, which on Amazon says it will DEFINITELY fit the Rad mini, or Rad's rack, which is a great rack, but $80! Cheers.

Fitting a "Generic" Rear Rack to Rad Mini ST2?

Go to MRI-Denver to get it. They sell all Rad's accessories, including many that do NOT show up on Rad Power's site. For the tail light, extension, go to: https://mri-denver.com/shop?olsPage=products%2F2019-rad-rear-tail-light-extension-cable-14-dot-75-oal-201-rad-rr-tl&page=3 Good Luck!

RadMini 4 - fit in Camry?

I don't know about the Camry, but here is a picture of the Radmini folded up into a 50-gal tub (from Walmart). I have a Kia Soul, and that tub will fit inside my back hatch. I hope this helps.

    Radmini cargo rack alternative?

I have been looking at this as well, with a new Radmini4 arriving next week. There are two reasonable alternatives - Onway Rear Bike Rack (about $50 on Amazon), and the Swagtron V2 Cargo Rack ($30 on Amazon). BUT, neither will include the wire extension required to relocate the Rad brake light...

Known Issues & Problems with Rad Power Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I bought a Rad Rover in August of 2019, and it arrived with minor damage. The derailleur guard was bent (very easy to fix), and the indexed shifter was one speed OFF. It said "2" when it was in "1", and said "7" when it was in "6". I qwas in contact with Rad Power (very helpful) when I had an...
