    Creo 2 Noisy/Juddering SRAM brakes

Hi all, just to circle back a bit, I’m not sure what Stefan meant when he remarked that I appeared to be ‘demonizing’ the brakes. Now, perhaps my brakes were possessed by demons, but I assure you that I did not consciously aid or abet any demonic possession! Two of my previous bikes also had...

    Creo 2 Noisy/Juddering SRAM brakes

If any of you are having a brake issue with a Creo 2, this story might help. For the first four or five rides (approx 100 miles) on my Creo 2 Expert, the SRAM brakes worked just fine. But all of a sudden, on maybe my fifth ride, the front brake started to judder and squeal, hellaciously...

    specialized creo 2

When it rains, it pours! I also joined the Creo 2 New Owners Club today with the arrival of a new Expert with the white-flecked finish. I live just north of Portland, Maine, and--wouldn't you know it-- the one LBS in town that handled Specialized dropped the line last year and now is a Trek...

    specialized creo 2

Those are all good points that you mentioned, which I hadn't given any thought to. I’m not too worried about the 58 being too big for me, as the Bike Shop said they would order in a 56 if I felt the 58 was oversized. I’ll probably just have to swap the stem to something like a 90 mm, perhaps...

    specialized creo 2

Yeah, initially I was a bit taken aback by the suggestion to move to a 58. But the devil is in the details, and the geometry chart showed that it might be a good idea. I’ll let you know how it worked out after I take delivery of my bike in about a month.

    specialized creo 2

I’m in the same situation as you. I normally ride a size 56. My Bike Shop suggested that I go with a size 58 Creo 2 because the reach is only about 9 mm more than the 56, but the stack height is 31 mm taller. If needed, I can install a shorter stem to make up for the extra reach, but the added...

    Creo vs Creo 2 geometry

Thanks, mschwett, for that analysis. That’s actually pretty helpful. After reading several reviews of the new Creo, I also started to feel that it was more oriented to technical gravel riding than the rough tarmac and occasional dirt that I mostly ride. Right now I’ve been riding a Bulls Grinder...

    Creo vs Creo 2 geometry

Hi All, I’m curious about how you would characterize the differences between the Creo 2 (let’s use the Expert version) and the Trek Domane+ SLR6 with the TQ motor in the 1x gravel version (SRAM AXS Rival). They are both gravel Ebikes, though the Creo 2 is seemingly more so with its shallow drop...

List of Class 3 Bosch Gen 4 bikes

I have a Bulls Grinder EVO Speed and it is, alas, a a Class 3 Gen 2 Bosch bike.

Can possibly purchase a Grinder Evo for $3,500 new. Should I pull the trigger?

Excellent! I’m sure you’ll enjoy your new ride… Let us know your impressions after you’ve written it a few times.

Can possibly purchase a Grinder Evo for $3,500 new. Should I pull the trigger?

Either of those bikes should be a solid choice, Don. I’ve ridden my bike with the front fork locked and in suspension mode, and I can barely tell the difference. But one piece of advice: don’t inflate the tires to the max. If the sidewalls specify a 40-65 psi range, try using 50-55... if you go...

Can possibly purchase a Grinder Evo for $3,500 new. Should I pull the trigger?

I actually have a Grinder Evo and have put approximately 2600 miles on it. So far, I would say it’s an excellent bike. I paid $4500 for it, so I would say you’re getting a great deal. True, it has the Gen 3 Bosch Speed motor, not the latest Gen 4, which is a bit smaller and lighter. The newer...

I want to upgrade: Specialized Turbo Vado vs. Trek Allant?

You could check out this bike.... very similar to the Allante+7S.... except for a better groups and a bigger Bosch battery: https://www.ebikesofne.com/Bulls-Urban-Evo-10-Diamond-p/bulls-urban-evo-10-diamond.htm

I want to upgrade: Specialized Turbo Vado vs. Trek Allant?

Google 'Racktime Talis' and you will see some vendors pop up. I forgot where I bought mine, and can't find the email receipt. It was some bike shop on the US West Coast... I think Oregon or Washington state. You don't need an adapter plate for the Racktime rack; the bags have an integrated...

I want to upgrade: Specialized Turbo Vado vs. Trek Allant?

The Allant+ 7s has a slightly bigger capacity battery (500 vs 460 wh) and a sportier geometry than the Vado. The ‘stagger’ model is a nice compromise that makes it easy to mount while also looking like a credible road bike. The Allant also has integrated headlight and taillights... not sure if...

Widespread Giant motor creaking problem - time for a recall?

By the way – not this that this will necessarily solve the problems of anybody on this thread – but I had a creaking problem for a while on my ebike, which is not a Giant. I was convinced that the creaking was coming from the chain ring area, but it turned out that my saddle just need to be...

NEW, Sexy Cannondale Topstone NEO: First Pics!

As I recall, the dealer said the bike could accommodate tires as wide as 45c or maybe 46c. And for what it’s worth, the suspension fork does lock up. I personally have a Bulls Grinder Evo, which is a Class 3 aluminum frame ebike with the Bosch gen 3 Speed motor. It has 700c wheels with 40c...

NEW, Sexy Cannondale Topstone NEO: First Pics!

I wrote a short description here about a new Cannondale bike that will be officially released on May 27th. I also attached some photos. But the local LBS got wind of my post and asked me to take it down until then. Apparently the dealers were sworn to secrecy about this new bike. Now that May...

    Trek Allant+ 8S -2020 Model - Amazing style and value at $4299

Just kidding! At first view it looked like the photo showed a cutaway look at the motor, sort of an illusion. On closer inspection , it’s normal, I admit. Never mind.
