    48v battery replacement options

I bought a 52V for my CCS from PDX Lithium about a week ago. Very happy so far both on my daily commute and on my long weekend ride. They have a 48V 14Ah with Samsung cells for $429 One of the owners is active on several of the Juiced Bikes Facebook forums. I have no affiliation, I'm just...

    Adding a second battery

Yeah, hindsight. It was the biggest CCS battery when I bought it but I wish I’d gone with he CCX. At th time I wasn’t sure I’d commit to commuting every day rain or shine. The 12.8 is enough for my commute 2 times even using higher PAS so it’s fine, but I’d like to take longer rides on the...

    Adding a second battery

Although that page says the 52V packs are backwards compatible, support says they don't work on the narrower frame of the CCS and the CCS no longer is listed on the 52V battery page as compatible (I am certain it used to be listed). I wonder if it's due to the same connectivity problem people...

    Adding a second battery

I am considering adding second battery to my Juiced CrossCurrent S and am hoping for some advice from some of the experts here. I currently have a 48V 12.8Ah battery and would like more range. The Dorado Plus batteries I've found from US suppliers max out at 12.8 which would be OK, but I'd...

Wanted: fenders and/or rack for Juiced CCX.

I replaced my CCS rack with an Ibera rack that supports their clip on Pannier/Trunk Bag system for under $30. The Juiced rack has thicker rails and my Panniers didn't clip on. The rack is pretty standard and I'd think by the time you pay shipping plus whatever someone would sell it for, you...

    Non Juiced brand battery purchase

Ride1up has a 10.4 Ah for $299. Tempting but I’d rather get more capacity. https://ride1up.com/product/500-series-battery/

    Non Juiced brand battery purchase

Does the Dorado Max 440mm version fit Juiced's mount?

    Favorite CCS upgrades/accessories?

I went with the riser bars because I have wrist/forearm issues and sitting upright eliminates pressure on my wrists. I picked up a pair of Schwalbe Energizer e-bike tires on sale that I'll put on either when the Kenda's wear out or if I get a third flat. I put in Slime after the second flat.

    Favorite CCS upgrades/accessories?

You may want to look at suspension saddles instead of the seat post. I started with a seat post and switched to a Cloud 9 saddle and moved the seatpost to my other bike. I did quite a few minor upgrades, some for my bike and some for me. Panniers, mirrors, tail light with accelerometer, riser...

Battery voltage -- Multimeter 2.5 v higher than LCD

I finally got my hands on another multimeter and the voltage was 54.6. I'm relieved there is no issue with my battery.

Battery voltage -- Multimeter 2.5 v higher than LCD

I came across a couple of sites that described "Surface Charge". Since I'm testing immediately after I pull it off the charger, is it possible that's what I'm seeing? Once it charges fully again, I'll test it, put it on the bike and run the motor for a bit, then test it again.

Battery voltage -- Multimeter 2.5 v higher than LCD

I went for a ride so the battery isn't full right now, but I replaced the battery and still see a 2.2V difference between the bike and the multimeter. I suppose the multimeter could be defective but spot checking other (lower) known voltages it seems spot on.

Battery voltage -- Multimeter 2.5 v higher than LCD

I have a CrossCurrent S that's about 2 months old (standard 48V battery) . I've been a little disappointed in the range but I assumed it was due to cold weather. Yesterday I rode 20 miles on a full charge and the display showed 46.2. When tested with a multimeter, it showed 48.4. I charged...

Help deciding between CCS and CCX

I have a CCS. With that much elevation and distance, you might want to consider the CCX if you plan to ride in the winter since low temperatures can reduce battery life. Some claim as much as 30%. Weight of the rider also plays a role. I have found that in the low 40s F, on a route with...
