I had the same problem.
The cables that operate the enviolo hub had become frayed inside of the cable tube. Eventually it snapped and i could only work the hub in one direction on the way home.
This was the solution:
sorry to hear.
I have a 2018 R&M Delite, and it does not have the Suntour Edge LOR-8; it has Suntour AION fronts and Fusion-X O2 PRO R rear shocks.
I too have exactly the same problem, though this problem took 500 miles to acquire. Initially, my rebound would limit the return to the point it...
My wife & I have a 2018 Delite with a HS motor, but with a Nuvinci/Enviolo trans, which introduces considerably more power loss. We also have a Diamondback Lindau EXC 48v 500w hub motor. Opinion as follows.
TL/DR: I'd wait and at least test drive the Gen4 HS before committing.
I commute 8...
28MPH * 95% = 26.6MPH. Do you have the Rohloff, and if so, can you do 27MPH continuously, at least on flat ground? Do you feel like the bicycle is providing 275% to 340% of your effort towards that 27MPH continuous, assuming you can even achieve it?
I have had access to a HS Vario for ~2000...
R&M need to give the user a choice in this matter, actually.
What if my sole purpose for this bike is a 16 mile round trip commute, and I'm ok with smoking both batteries in that 16 miles? I have been riding a class 2 throttle bike for the 16mi commute (the Diamondback Lindau EXC) that is plumb...
Its actually my wife that daily drives the R&M; I have been relegated to her older Diamondback Lindau EXC: a 2014 $2500 20mph class 2 E-bike. (Henceforth "the DB")
The difference is stark: the thousands of dollars more really deliver the mail. The trail quality where I ride is horrific, tree...
hahahahah naaaah Chris you just gotta put in the work!
I first noticed this sweet spot you mention, and rode exactly like that for the first few months.. turn it all the way to "orange man on a flat road" and then back it off a touch. But then! I have found, if you twist it completely to flat...
As the OP, I have a 1500 mile update on this topic.
I spoke with my local bike shop and we were able to find replacement cogs with different tooth counts, so it is possible. But this would not be a preferred modification.
Having ridden ~1500 miles now, I have come to know that the Bosch...
so the Homage was this year's hot item, so you are going to have to pay the man in order to have one.
However, you could get a floor model Delite. You could possibly get a full suspension Delite with dual batteries and a high speed motor for $6000 (MSRP ~ $9000). This will come with a Gates...
I had read this opinion here on a the forums a few times and, as i intend to buy an E14 equipped HS Homage, I really went into it thinking "i can master this quickly" but having come from nonstop power on a nuvinci, i found even after the shift had completed on the E14 it felt like years before...
Ugh you are right about that! I've put 1500mi on a HS nuvinci/vario and it simply doesn't pause; I rode an E14 HS (on an Homage) over the weekend and wow! That thing spends more time paused than it does applying power from 0-28mph! Sure once you are in a gear for a few seconds it applies...
@Scruffy's Human a few years from now, someone's gonna buy a used delite making a jingling, and they are gonna google for the solution to this jingling, and they are going to land here, and they are gonna be like "yes this is it! Someone else had this problem! Let me scroll to the end and see...
wow that video was terrible (called that a death wobble on fords.) I don't know what i'm looking at either on that stem and all that, so hopefully someone can chime in with more knowledge
Where'd you buy that in Va? Charlie?
Well, back on topic, the new Delite comes with new 2020 Bosch motor, and the HS and CX both output same torque and % from what i understand, so your concern may be mitigated in 2020.
Though this review could be wrong, found here.
Yep - cell phones did this same thing over the past decade. At first your phone was unlocked, then it was locked but most manufacturers allowed you to unlock it, then it took a hack to unlock, and now all phones come with the end user being the only person unable to access core functionality.
