    Deckhand or similar for RadRunner?

So here's what I worked out: a threadless handlebar stem mounts to the seatpost with a little beer can shimming, so now my kids have something to hold. The tassles... let's just leave it at I love my children. :)

    Deckhand or similar for RadRunner?

Loving the RadRunner we just bought. I already had a Juiced CCS for commuting, but this is a great supplement - simple, fun and inexpensive. I took my son for a ride this morning, and while he was comfortable sitting behind me, I wish there was a handle for him similar to the Deckhand for the...

Folding Locks: ABus Bordo 6000 vs Foldylock Compact on CCS/CCX

I don't remove the battery, bit I also don't park mine in public places in Seattle for more than a few minutes.

Folding Locks: ABus Bordo 6000 vs Foldylock Compact on CCS/CCX

Foldylock fits very well on my CCS XL top tube.

Occasional clunking on RipCurrent - Bottom bracket?

A couple of other possibilities that I've encountered. First, a defect in the rear freewheel/hub that you can usually detect by slowly pedaling and backpedaling with the bike on a lift. A replacement wheel from Juiced was required. A second intermittent knock ended up being my seat - easily...

    CCX Off-Road and Tire Size

OP, have you looked at Schwalbe's Marathon Plus Tour, Mondial and Energizer Tour? Good tread pattern compromise for gravel and dirt, and 28x1.75" is considerably wider than most cyclocross tires.

First ride report & Low voltage setting for CCX

@MJ_Sharma - welcome to the Juiced in Seattle crew! There are a few of us around. 14 miles commuting each way... Redmond, perhaps? If so, I hope you're enjoying your traffic-proof commute as much as I do. FWIW - same observation here on the Marathon Plus tires in cold, wet weather. I have a...

Clicking noise from the rear wheel when peddling.

Several of us who bought our bikes at about the same time had a similar problem, all corrected with replacement of the rear wheel/motor assembly. Yours is the first time I've seen a solution posted, further proof of what a wonderful city you live in.

    Protective bike jackets?

I ordered this to go under my Showers Pass jacket. Should breathe well with the back plate removed: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/knox-urbane-mk3-shirt .

    Protective bike jackets?

After my spill last week, I've been thinking that a jacket with some shoulder protection might be a good idea. Ideally it would be a standard bike commuter jacket, like the ubiquitous Showers Pass eVent jacket, with shoulder pad pockets in it. I'm looking for something lighter than the street...

Schwalbe Marathon Plus a lot worse than stock Kenda tires!

Aside from the bubble, how has the Marathon Green Guard performed? Any comparison in performance to other tires (Kenda, Marathon Plus, etc.)?

Schwalbe Marathon Plus a lot worse than stock Kenda tires!

Well, I had my Marathon Plus tire come out from under me while rounding a corner over a wet metal grate last week. I won't swear that another tire would have stuck, but I'm now of the opinion that a flat tire - even on an ebike - is preferable to a sprained shoulder, technicolor hip and ruined...

Love my CCS, losing patience with Juiced

Sorry about your troubles. I had a long wait for a new motor myself this summer. I don't believe removing the freehub on the CCS is a one minute job - I've tried. The cassette comes off easily, but the freehub is integrated into the motor and as far as I can tell you have to disassemble the...

Schwalbe Marathon Plus a lot worse than stock Kenda tires!

Check on the Marathon green guard tires. Not plus. Comparable rolling resistance, better traction, slightly less flat protection than the Plus. bicyclerollingresistance.com likes them.

    Grin Satiator

While others have had mixed luck (maybe earlier versions?) my Luna advanced charger has worked perfectly for me for considerably less than the cost of the Grin Satiator. Selectable 1-5a and 80,90,100% charging options. Perhaps a poor man pays twice, and I'll need a 52v version if I ever...

Schwalbe Marathon Plus a lot worse than stock Kenda tires!

Another option to consider: I have marathon plus on my rear wheel for puncture resistance and treadlife, and a shchwalbe energizer on the front for braking grip. Ever consider leaving the kenda on the front and just swapping out the rear?

    Help with CCS accessories.

I use Weanas grips on my CCS. Equal grip lengths on both sides. I've had Ergons, too, and these work just as well for a bit less. Good call on the mirrycle mirror. It's much more stable than the mirrors that bolt onto the bar above the grips.

First (ever?) Commute on a Crosscurrent X.

I replaced the stock grips with the bar end Weanas grip to mount a mirror and it's working out well. As others have mentioned, the squeak often comes from the front fender. The mud flap pulls off easily, reducing the mass and in my case eliminating the squeak.

    Rubber axle caps?

Anyone know where to get 12mm axle caps for CCS while Juiced is unpacking? Happy to pay for them, but surprisingly can't find anything that does the trick on Amazon.

    CCX Smaller Chainring Options

I'm curious - do many people use the 11T 9th gear? I find it to be too grindy on my CCS compared to 7th and 8th to be of much use to me.
