Sondors Fact Finding. Due Diligence. Scrutiny.

Someone should start cataloging the claims from all the eBike manufacturers, starting with the more expensive models. Because when you start judging these people, the cost of their lies gets progressively larger when the bike is $4000 on up. Who is the greater victim, the one who drops $4000...

    Refund questions

"Extort" must have a different legal meaning in Canada. "to wrest or wring (money, information, etc.) from a person by violence, intimidation, or abuse of authority; obtain by force, torture, threat, or the like." Sondors wants shipping payment upfront, for the amount originally listed.. Geez...

    Refund questions

Never have seen so much bellyaching about a $500 purchase before. If you have been reading the IGG page you would know that Sondors is just taking factory pictures that are not his order. Since he hadn't released his order for production yet, why would anyone think it was his Sondors' bikes...

Noob doing research, looking for ebike for a 33 mile commute

27 miles is a lot to ride twice a day on any bike... I rode 25 miles to watch Miami Tennis Open, watched tennis for 6 hours, then rode 25 miles home.. Nice ride, and I can handle it, but I would not have done it again the next day.. Too much to deal with, mental fatigue! If this is your reason...

Noob doing research, looking for ebike for a 33 mile commute

Operator, you live a beautiful area with great weather. Your commute shows up as 27 miles by bicycle, ONE WAY; that's a lot of biking twice a day. I commute 10 miles on my road bike, each way, and that's no problem.. Only takes 32 minutes. Before you commit to spending thousands of dollars...

Sondors Fact Finding. Due Diligence. Scrutiny.

True True Ann. A short warranty and limited customer support will frustrate a lot of new ebike owners. I see problems unless Storm gets ahead of it

RadRover - $1000 Fat eBike .. why spend any more than this?

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/radrover-electric-fat-bike Nicely equipped and built by someone known to the Endless Sphere Group, out of Seattle. Seems like a true bargain with a 1 year warranty. Look out above!

    hastle removing the rear wheel

Flip, the bike on its seat using a rag. Much easier. U may need to remove the torque arm. And be gentle with the electrical connections. No biggie

    Wave E-bike 499$ (another Storm/Indiegogo)

You can either buy a cheap eBike or a ridiculously overpriced eBike. The one who buys the cheap eBike will learn a lesson about quality and design and make better choices going forward.. Wont cost a lot for that education.. And will either enjoy the eBike experience, or will realize that they...

    Wave E-bike 499$ (another Storm/Indiegogo)

Storm received around 7000 orders for eBikes... I don't think there's a lot of people left right now who want to order.... Must be hurting at the retail level as well. If Storm is successful, we could see a lot of clones out there.. It's like the PC Clone Wars of the 1980s!

    steel ebike frames

Well there are lots of pics. Should know soon enough. 7000 ebikes sold due to start shipping in May. I like the French Blue

    steel ebike frames

Aluminum bikes are pretty cheap by now... The Sondors eBike is a steel frame. Not chrome moly. For a mountain bike would definitely go for a aluminum frame and suspension fork.. eBike or not. For a road bike there are so many choices.. I have 3 Reynolds Chrome moly frames with Campy fork...

Am I crazy to consider an EV?

I live South of Miami, and couldn't drive to Key Largo and back or to Fort Lauderdale and back without having to find a charger before coming home. A 100 mile drive to West Palm Beach? 100 miles.. I'd have to stop along the way for an hour or so. And I live in a large Metro area. The Leaf...

Am I crazy to consider an EV?

At a price of $65k+, the Tesla hits all the marks for a luxury EV.. Just don't want to spend that much for the pleasure of driving 200 miles between jumps.

Am I crazy to consider an EV?

Well that is true about the wife..lol.... As long as she realizes that it won't go more than 80 miles before needing a multi hour jump. I truly think that we will see a nice range increase within the next few years, in the 200 mile range, for an affordable EV...

Am I crazy to consider an EV?

Also like to add that I own two older vehicles, 9 and 15 y.o.... Instead of replacing them, which i am able to do, I bought a nice eBike, and other bikes.. I use the bikes exclusively for local trips, like 30 miles or less.. As a result my milage on the old cars is very low, and they now have...

Am I crazy to consider an EV?

You're installing solar panels in Alberta Canada, and expect an ROI of 9 years? Given the amount of usable sunlight that far north and the electricity cos structure in resource rich Canada, I'd really like to see the cost benefit analysis. Not doubting you but am just very surprised. If this...

    defunct

Florida has a lot of bike paths, and it also has a lot of roads with no shoulder or bike paths... Considering the number of cyclists killed every year (We're #2, or #1), have to say our infrastructure stinks!

    The Outfitter Has Arrived

Anyone spending almost $6000 on a low performing eBike with poor handling and low top end must not know what they want, and will probably relegate it to the closet after the first season.
