UPDATE on Aug 5, 2023 [#14][M2S] .. I FINALLY killed my ebike battery.. new info: times 3.. PickleBall info, too.

HiAll, I just want to inform you folks about my latest ebike battery “what the hey” scenario. Today I headed out on my usual 50 mile ride. Depending on which ebike I am riding that day, I either use 2 batteries OR 3 batteries. Since the beast of the day is my newly rehabilitated (kind of)...

Hi Kayakguy. On June 18, 2024, after a 10 month "down time", I have FINALLY mastered The Beast (so to speak). I have been doing 50-mile rides on it every day since then just to be sure that no other gremlins have been hiding in plain sight. I will eventually be doing a [#11 X52] posting with...

UPDATE on Aug 5, 2023 [#14][M2S] .. I FINALLY killed my ebike battery.. new info: times 3.. PickleBall info, too.

Hi Catalyzt, Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I do tend to ramble on most of the time as I attempt to convey my hard-learned lessons on to other EBR viewers. And nowadays, with so many new ebike companies out and about in their attempts to penetrate the already saturated market, I am hoping...

    Just purchased/received (8/25/23) a Lectric XPedition... (2 failed tubes)

Yes, they are smooth as butter. Absolutely quiet. Prior to the Shinko 241 tires, I was using SHINKO 244 tires. The 244's were very noisy-- other trail users could always hear me/my tires approaching. The SHINKO 241's, on other other hand, though quite knobby/gnarly in appearance, are so quiet I...

    Just purchased/received (8/25/23) a Lectric XPedition... (2 failed tubes)

Hi dwoodul51. The proof is in the 3 photo's below. The 2 photo's showing a blue rim are the SHINKO 241 motorcycle tires at mile #8,726 of wear. (1 is the rear tire.. 1 is the front tire.) The other photo (showing the white bike frame) is another of my ebikes with a Kenda Juggernaut 26"x4"...

"c). I selected the 52v/20ah battery with the DC2.1mm connector, and without charger. Jenny told me that a flat blade in-line fuse (usually 30 or 40amp) was not included on this size because of space constraints.. Not too happy about that, but not a deal breaker, either." Hi all, I...

UPDATE on Aug 5, 2023 [#14][M2S] .. I FINALLY killed my ebike battery.. new info: times 3.. PickleBall info, too.

In regards to my aforementioned "overnight charging" thought : I just came across this ArielRder YouTube video .. It just goes to show our fellow ebikers how convoluted, and dangerous, the "professionals" (ArielRider, etc) can be in advertising their own ignorance of their products.

    [#8] X52.. Water Bottle holders..Torque Washers.. Step-Over Frame modification.

Hi, Welcome to EBReview.. That is definitely sound advice for sure. I have decided that my best option is to just leave the frame as is and go ahead and make sure that I always have ready access to a curb, a rock, etc. when it comes to mounting/dismounting. That seems to be working okie-dokie...

    Need suggestions for tire replacement

Yes, the Shinko tires are about twice as heavy as the stock ebike tires. They are also thicker, much more heavy duty, and pretty much negate the use of/carrying-on-the-ride these following items: a flat repair patch kit.. multiple tire levers.. portable air pump (or co2 inflation...
