This Faraday Cortland Electric Bike (E-bike) was purchased new in 2018 for a summer commute to a local camp (18 hilly round trip miles). It excelled at that purpose but is no longer needed. Magnum Metro+, 3715 miles, $700 in Brewster NY 10509 - SOLD

I'm selling my Magnum Metro+, it has 3715 miles. The tires are in good shape and I just installed a new chain, freewheel, and front brake pads. Based on recent rides, I would say the 48 volt, 13 amp hour battery has about 80% of its original capacity. I normally only charge it to 80% and...

Cortland - True Range and Reliability

My daughter has test ridden 5 e-bikes but she keeps coming back to the Cortland due to the low maintenance of the belt drive and internal gearing (plus it's just a beautiful bike). I'd like to know more about the range while on max assist (which is guess is just the higher of the two settings)...

    City Commuter Top Speed

I'm considering a Pedego City Commuter for my daughter but would like to raise the top speed. It appears this was possible on older models but perhaps not on a left over 2018 model. Can anyone confirm if the top speed can be raised from 20 to 25 mph or higher?

Barbra - handlebar cover for winter cycling

I just came across this and ordered one, looks like a nice solution to help keep my hands warm. I hadn't seen it before so I thought I post here to spread the word. http://barbra.ca/index.html I'll update this thread once I receive it and let you all know how it works!

E-bike for Daughter - 28 mph with hills and low step

My daughter is interested in getting an e-bike instead of a car. Woohoo! However, she has some interesting requirements. Her commute to high school is only 5 miles but quite hilly and, for safety sake, I'd like her to be able to maintain at least 20 mph up the hills and 28 mph on the flats...

Upper battery mount - missing screw and cracked

I posted this a week and half ago in the general discussion portion of the forum but thought I should post it here as well. I experienced a flat on my Magnum+ and upon flipping the bike over onto a rubber work mat to work on it, the battery fell out. I then discovered that a screw was missing...

Flat tire and battery fell out!

After work yesterday, I went out to the rack and discovered that the front tire was flat. I carry a spare tube so I was able to change it out. The tube looked like it just simply failed while sitting in the rack. I didn't see any sign of punctures, the Schwalbe Marathon tire looked great...

    Luna Grit 220? - 34 mile commute!

I'm simply tired of driving my car every day and I'd like to start bike commuting. However, my commute is 34 miles each way but I do have the luxury of a rail to trail that will take me nearly the entire way to work (the trails is 2 miles from my house and about 1.5 miles from work). The...
