Its not a necessity, just curious moreso. On other models, Trek in particular, the motor cuts a bit early and it throws off pedaling at higher speeds

Is there anything in particular that would keep these motors from being unlocked with the proper tool?

Ahh ok ty! I must've misread that. Considering the Trek Powerfly FS 9 currently; as a Vado owner do you know how this unit may compare to the Vado for commuting? I'll probably make a post on the specialized forums as well...

How did you reconcile ultimately?

.. the bike to be ridden close to a traditional bike? ie less resistance when in the lowest modes or motor off completely? Alternatively, is there a consensus "fastest" configuration for the supercharger and superdelite models?

BMC is my bike of choice actually! I didn't know they had electric bikes though. I had an BMC Alpenchallenge AC02 and an 01 imported to the states a while back and was by far the best hybrid id ridden. Appreciate the insights

Thats what I'm figuring out essentially.. is the difference between a 4k Trek/Vado etc and an 8k R&M noticeable.. seems to highly circumstantial unsurprisingly
