How to get the axle out??

In place of the rubber inner tube, I thought of using this.......... Using storm door safety chain items, can adjust to any length needed, and set for the tension needed, easy to install..........for controlling the swaying...

How to get the axle out??

Hey Guys, I found the information for correcting the twitchy BoB type single wheel trailers. Now I have to find a bike inter tube............ Inner tube dampening system. BOB is your friend, but as all friends do, sometimes he gets a little too close for comfort, bouncing and swinging around...

How to get the axle out??

Well, I'll have plenty of time, as I didn't draw any tags (again), so I can spend it on getting this bike trailer operating in perfect form. Finished 3 road tests, the last one with a 100#'s in the trailer, back towards the rear wheels. I did find out that the swivel/pivot point between the...

How to get the axle out??

After finishing the 3rd road tests, the last one with a 100#'s in the trailer, back towards the rear wheels. I did find out that the swivel/pivot point between the bike attachment forks and main body of the trailer is very twichy and the slight movement causes over excessive trailer swaying. I...

    Revamping a bike trailer?

Run, I don't think that option will work very well, as each wheel has independent suspension. I kind'a think that plastic box would be destroyed, due to the bouncing action of each separate wheel. I have got front and back baskets already. Tia

    Revamping a bike trailer?

Well Guys, The trailer is done, finished making the rear wheel brackets, painted and attached them to the trailer frame, just waiting on the attachment bobbins to hook up to the bike. Had to make a couple of special attachment brackets for the trailer attachment to the bike. Then I can start...

    Bourbon

My favorite is JD, straight out of the jug and over the rocks once in a while, or Canadian Mist. If I am not going to do anything after darkness, a good shot in a cup of Jo before sack time. yrmv

How would you do it? (Tongue weighing)

TT & T That is just what I plan on doing, I just have to finish fitting the rear bracket to attachment to the bike. Then I'll start loading some weights and do some riding to see the results. Seeing that the OEM spec's are in question, I don't believe that they are valid, and as of this date...

How would you do it? (Tongue weighing)

TT How can I move any weights around?, When the bare trailer TW is 16#'s, before adding any weight? It is not possible to move any more weights towards the rear, as there is no room/area to carrying it. As I first stated, I believe that I am doing something wrong is the weighing tests, or there...

    Revamping a bike trailer?

Land I am towing a trailer, but, if the trailer has small wheels, it just sinks into the sand/DG and you have a anchor you are pulling thru the sand. (Takes more effort to move.) With wide tires, they float and ride on top of the sand/DG and it easier to pull the trailer thru. (Less effort to...

How would you do it? (Tongue weighing)

TT I don't think that will work, if you move the weight forwards don't you increase the tongue weight?, and I can't move the weight any farther to the rear...... at 59#'s tongue weight for the 75# test, I think I am SOL..... Tia

    Revamping a bike trailer?

Land Around here there is nothing but DG and sand, with abundance of rocks, narrow tires are a death sentence when traveling around here. Wide tires are necessary or you are pushing the bike to go anywhere. Tia

    Revamping a bike trailer?

As an update, the steel got here, made a pattern to fit the trailer frame, attached it to the frame, fits and works, attached the rear frame/wheels, looks good. But, I was not satisficed, revamped the shock locking plates, for better strength added several bolts for more security, looking...
