You could switch handlebars to something like On One Geoff bars; you can get bags that fit inside the loop thus no problems with cables or lights

What an interesting idea. I gave up on handlebar bags because they fouled the brake cables on both of my previous bikes; haven't even tried on on my allant+ 8. But this is food for thought.

Sounds like a load of at least 20 - 25kg. Depending on weight of locks you could even be at double the load limit. Do you do that often, and have you been doing it long? Load ratings are always on the conservative side, probably 10% over would be OK, but I would be very uncomfortable going so...

Just come across this thread. My ebike connect synchronises GPS etc fine as long as I 'connect' before setting off; but it doesn't record any ascent/descent. As with the original poster, I get a graph of ascent/descent no problem, but no total numbers. Did anyone get a resolution for this...
