Advice on L vs. XL sizes in Allant+

Sorry, none of the sites I've visited give a part number! For me, searching for 'Bontrager adjustable blendr stem' finds it, wheeras if I add the word 'integrated' I find yours. Re US having a worse situation than UK for Trek etc, I think the actual bikes are cheaper over there? A new Allant+ 7...

Advice on L vs. XL sizes in Allant+

Ah, well spotted. This must the one you have - twice the price and not available until the end of september. I don't need the cable management, as on the allant 8 the cables come out above the forks, so maybe I can get away with the cheaper one...

Advice on L vs. XL sizes in Allant+

Thanks Dallant. Looks like I could be in luck here in UK, this looks like the part:

Advice on L vs. XL sizes in Allant+

Hiya... Thanks. Yes I know I could fit a stem extender, but I'm not such a big fan of them. The stem that dallant showed is interesting, because unlike most variable angle stems it has an incorporated riser section first. It looks like dallant's stem actually replaces the steering tube cap that...

Advice on L vs. XL sizes in Allant+

Also, do you need to get a new (longer) stem bolt to fit this? Ta! (I'm assuming stem bolt goes down through a hole top left in picture)

Advice on L vs. XL sizes in Allant+

Dallant, that looks like an interesting stem. Would it fit an allant+ 8? I'm getting hand tingling and neck pain if I'm on the bike for more than about 90 minutes, and I think higher bars would help. I've tried a Ritchie adjustable stem, but it doesn't raise the bars as much as this would...

    Love my Allant+7 BUT...

I find that the bosch battery range tool is excellent for working out what your likley range will be. You can specify bike, battery, assitance mode, terrain, weight etc etc. Recommended...

    Allant+7 thoughts/review

God that is weird, I was sure it was the 0.75 end! My brain is like swiss cheese these days. Cheers, John

does the 0.5 fit in though? 0.5 is 0.5% wear - less than 0.75% but still worth changing chain I reckon.

    Will there be a 2022 Allant+ 8?

I have a 2021 Allant+ 8. One of the reasons I chose it rather than the 7 is because it has fixed front forks, rather than suspension. The forks have the necessary bosses so that I have been able to add a tubus tara front rack, which is perfect if you want to go touring. You are right that the...

    Front bag on Allant

You could switch handlebars to something like On One Geoff bars; you can get bags that fit inside the loop thus no problems with cables or lights

    Front bag on Allant

What an interesting idea. I gave up on handlebar bags because they fouled the brake cables on both of my previous bikes; haven't even tried on on my allant+ 8. But this is food for thought.

    Alternative rack for Allant+ 8

Sounds like a load of at least 20 - 25kg. Depending on weight of locks you could even be at double the load limit. Do you do that often, and have you been doing it long? Load ratings are always on the conservative side, probably 10% over would be OK, but I would be very uncomfortable going so...

    Alternative rack for Allant+ 8

I love the dinky rack on the allant+8, but it is rated at only 15kg max load and so it is not good enough for touring. I found a post on the PeterBurn.com blog where he described fitting a Topeak super tourist DX (disc version) rack to his allant+. In the pictures he was able to mount the new...

I use thule velocompact for a trek allant+ 8 and a trek tm4+ lowstep. Brilliant. https://www.thule.com/en-gb/bike-rack/towbar-bike-racks/thule-velocompact-2-7-pin-_-925 Max load 46kg, single bike 25kg. Fine if you remove battery

Kiox Ebike connect not showing ft climb/ascent

Yep I have a Garmin too, the grade is particularly useful. I've been thinking about maybe not needing to use it any more (one less device) but no can do.

Kiox Ebike connect not showing ft climb/ascent

I've just updated my Kiox to 3.1.1. Still no ascent figures. Contacted Bosch, they are still working on it, slated for a future release. Nyon works fine (has its own GPS) but there is a manufacturing shortfall of those...

Kiox Ebike connect not showing ft climb/ascent

Just come across this thread. My ebike connect synchronises GPS etc fine as long as I 'connect' before setting off; but it doesn't record any ascent/descent. As with the original poster, I get a graph of ascent/descent no problem, but no total numbers. Did anyone get a resolution for this...
