I agree. I am sucker for getting the latest and greatest bike upgrade but there is nothing about the EVO other than the increased battery capacity that I think is an improvement.

Hmmm maybe not... I wouldn't want to be pushing 100 cadence going 28mph though.

Looks like the EVO 4 and 5 has a smaller chainring (40t). I wonder if they are limited to 20MPH just because it looks like you would spin out before getting to 28mph (40tx11t).

Yes! So I now have a few 28 mile rides (all city/bike lanes) on the 5.0 and the extra power is significant. So much so it makes me wonder if there is more than just a software difference between my (very early 2022 4.0 and the newest gen 5.0).

Just ordered a Satin Seafoam 5.0! My old battery only has 170 cycles on it so I am looking forward to some century rides now that I can swap out the batteries mid ride!

Stefan would you expect that I could use my early 2022 battery in the newer bike? They do appear to have the same part number.

Interesting my very early (March) 2022 4.0 came with a 48t Praxis. Honestly though 40t or 48t for the terrain I ride would be fine. Heck I'd prefer a 53t.

I have a very early 2022 Specialized Vado 4.0 and I am approaching 10k miles on it. I love the bike but little things are starting to go wrong with it (rear light going out, MCU replacement) so I am considering purchasing a new 5.0. However I am wondering why the specifications are different...

Weather here is now in the upper 70s and I have ridden the Vado almost every single day over the past 4 months. Bike is 100% fine with no issues whatsoever.

I am going to clean up the old ring and take some pictures of it and pictures of the brand new branded Praxis chainring. The old one has no markings at all. Also weird photos in this thread and online show the chain orientation the opposite of my new Praxis. But my bike is shifting perfect...
