Mission Control Versions-are our bikes "bricked"?

The latest Mission Control application on Apple IOS is v3.17.0 Build 164, released May 11, 2023. As referenced in previous postings, "Smart Control" is no longer functioning. The LBS manager validated this with the reply upon inquiring (on 5/20/23), "I reached out to my BDM (brand development...

    Question on 'dropped chain'?

I mean I 'push' the bikes backwards, holding the handlebars at the front of the bike, and putting it to the spot where it gets parked. Like I said, 'sometimes' it makes a weird noise, and it might be what gear it is in when pushing back, as there have been time when pushing, the pedals/crank move.

    Question on 'dropped chain'?

While I ALWAY back mine and my wife's Vado and Como into the garage after a ride, I've never had a chain drop doing so. However, there have been times (not too many) when I heard some odd noise doing so. I attribute it to what gear it's in while backing it up. The lowest (gear 1) makes no noise...

Changes were done prior to fitting. So may the "fitter" was not 'fit'?

10 Different bike saddles, and still a sore ass

Thanks for you insight. However, the purpose of my initial modification(s) to change the handlebars to a more swept back position was that I suffered tremendously with wrist pain and shoulder pain (with OEM handlebars + stem). I additionally raised the stem with the Kinekt Suspension Stem 100mm...

    Smart Control -

As a followup, the LBS manage wrote back to me this morning: "I reached out to my BDM (brand development manager) who has the new globe, and he is having the same experience. He was in the store, and we set his bike up with the same issue. No matter how we adjust the distance and elevation it...

    Smart Control -

Mine used to work, as discussed, as well as my wife's Como, used to work. The both bikes seem crippled when using Smart Control. Odd thing is the LBS manager tried it on a few bikes on the sales floor, has the same result, minimal involved assistance, semi-crippled. The other thing is the...

10 Different bike saddles, and still a sore ass

I did a bike "fit" and paid handsomely for it a year ago on 2 bikes. I have chamois padded under garment(s). I tried the Ergon saddle Stefan suggested today, OK for 10 miles, we'll see as it goes forward.

10 Different bike saddles, and still a sore ass

There is no magic bullet. I cannot find the perfect companion for my riding pleasure. I may have to consider giving up the sport, it remains painful to ride and not to say expensive.

Smart Control is now Dumb Control?

    Not sure what that means?

Smart Control is now Dumb Control?

OK, here is the odd thing. PRIOR to my bike getting the control and display swapped out, I HAD the latest firmware for everything. My wife's Como did not have any firmware updates for almost a year (2 or 3 behind). SHE experienced the very same thing just PRIOR to my experiences as well as when...

Smart Control is now Dumb Control?

So yes, I had a Wahaoo Tickr paired previously which still showed as a connected bluetooth device in Mission Control. I dis-associated, unpaired it. Still, Smart Control shows a 10% assistance. Screenshots attached.

Smart Control is now Dumb Control?

So, sharing this with the LBS, they referenced the following screenshot Not 100% sure what may have changed since the firmware update, etc., but I'll un-pair and repair my Wahoo Tickr and report back tomorrow. My only concern is that I choose DISTANCE, not HEART RATE, so I do not see the relevance

Smart Control is now Dumb Control?

Last week, the LBS swapped out the handlebar remote & screen (they say it's the 'package' and has to be done as a set), as it was intermittently inoperative, mostly during cold weather. (see: https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/handlebar-remote-on-2022-vado-como.51315/ ) They ordered...

    Specialized releases Turbo Tero X

On Wednesday this week I went to the LBS to get a component replaced on my Vado. While there, I took a Tero X (6.0) for a ride to kill some time while they were doing the repair. I have to say, it is a very, very impressive bike. In a heartbeat, I might consider one IF I hit the lotto this...
