Hi ,
I am testing the the Summit 2 vs Discover 3. I am interested in power for holding higher speeds on paved trails, some hills. On paper it seems the Summit with its higher torque should be better. On another site they tested both bikes in separate tests and the Summit seems like it would be...
i am looking at the D3 not DM want a hub motor again, replacing a Rad Roadster. I currently own among others a Trek Allant with Bosch motor and a Specialized Vado 5.0 with Enviolo hub and both excellent no delay sensors but not hub and not super strong especially holding close to 28 on hills. i...
Thx , Even better info than expected! Back to waiting for Summit to compare rides.
do you have any experience comparing torques sensor engagement with other bikes ? Some are more responsive and even more so on take off engagement.
For me I am waiting to compare the new Summit 2 to the Discover 3, motor is rated for more power. I have had my fill of replacing consumable gear trains too so the M is out.
I rode my Vado for the 1st time in a couple months , I went to check ride stats and the newest ride shown is from August, not even yesterdays ride. Didn’t update or notice and changes just not my current ride data.
I would estimate 12,000 to 15,000 per year with a large + or minus since I don’t track it. Depends on my medical stuff and falls mostly. I was just out a month between a fall and cataract surgeries. I try to go about 106 every other day but usually make the 84 mile turnaround. Depends on...
My 1st thought goes to the rear cog, there is I think a 24 and 22 tooth gear available do you know which one is in place? is the drive train on each bike the same ? Both auto? Same firmware? do you have a local dealer?
My 7s is at 23000 plus. couple of brake parts , many chains and cassettes, couple of wheel rebuilds, couple set of tires . + button on purion display starting to skip. 3 batteries 2 chargers. Avg maybe 85 miles a trip
it will prob keep going a while imho
Bike has been in the shop for a month, waiting for motor replacement, little frustrated and irritated. Bought the bike broke my foot 2days later didn’t get to,ride for a month. 2nd month rode about 1700 miles , bad grinding noises won’t move under power and rear wheel only rolls forward. 3rd...
Last week when returning home from the LBS I found out that app tracking The ride continues while the bike was in my van being transported home . I thought the the bike wheel had to be moving but not the case.
I was impressed at 60 mph for 3 miles after testing in the parking lot for 2 min then...
I have a Radster road wait for my broken foot to heal, purchased 3 days before my misstep . I have been purchasing accessories to keep me busy. Mirror, panniers, additional batteries, Kinetic seat post, additional charger, waxed it …maybe new grips

I would like to ride the chain version to better test just the motors . Low cadence similar maybe even easier to pedal . I can almost ghost pedal with the Specialized at slow speeds but when pushing the bike it feels less powerful. I have thoughts that this could be in the torque sensor...
I find it hard to keep it at 24 or 25 mph unless slight down hill, I don’t with my Trek with Bosch on the same path. It is a comfy ride though just not as fast as others. the Trek has a chain this is the auto hub , not quite apples to apples. The power below this seems to be there just too hard...
I have the same year also .i had slipping I replaced the rear 24 tooth cog with a 22 which is the standard now. Still slipping, prob. Worse. They replaced the hub, started slipping 3 rides later . My bike started having electronic issue like the plus button was being pushed while riding and the...
