So how much was the last dozen eggs you bought?

We usually buy 18 packs of standard, not free range or organic, eggs here (central Pennsylvania) ...two days ago an 18 pack was back down to about $6.

Ebikes in Africa where there's little electricity.

So rather than the chicken and egg, the question is which comes first ... a good electric grid or ebikes? https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20250508-rwanda-is-sparking-africas-e-bike-revolution

With 125% tariffs, will the e-bike market die?

Indeed. The two party system makes any big improvements very difficult ... now it's by design ... with everything reduced to only two parties, they can't present many solutions to any issues, they can't even think beyond an increasingly obsolete left or right view.

    Cycling Shirt.

Names go first, then nouns, and eventually everything becomes " that green thing on the coffee table" or some other phrase. Since my stories are rarely true, I can still fake my way thru them.

How's the bike infrastructure where you ride?

For your infrastructure thread, from the Washington Post... "an essential truth about bike lanes as weapons of civic planning: They are often installed not to satisfy the barely measurable trickle of residents who pedal to work but mainly to make car traffic worse enough that people will be...

    Thinking real hard on this...

Obviously this is my first experience with a wood burning camp stove, and there is always a learning curve with cooking anythinng more than just boiling water. This stove (and probably all the woodd burners ) has a saucer for alchol or sterno. I have used sterno occasionally, and wouldn't...

    Thinking real hard on this...

Thanks. I was aware of the trick of putting soap on the outside of the pot for cookjng on a campfire , but never expected to need it on a "stove" since my stoves were always propane or gasoline powered and burned clean. For myself ,the purpose of a single burner stove is speed while traveling...

    Thinking real hard on this...

@Nvreloader funds affected my decision as well, these little stoves are surprisingly costly. Instead I bought a $20 rocket stove from Scamamazon and a 5$ grease pot from the kitchen gadgets aisle. Since it was so cheap, I splurged on a nonstick frypan with folding handle and 3 plates and 3...
