    Como 3.0 IGH battery upgrade

That I don’t know. I suppose if they don’t intend to use their 530w battery they can transfer the cover if the 710 doesn’t come with the cover.

    Como 3.0 IGH battery upgrade

Yes, you can use the 710w Como 4 battery. I have a Vado 3IGH and use my Vado 4 710w battery all the time.

    Como IGH belt cover.

I did the same thing during my first ride on my Vado IGH. It’s not a critical part. Many belt drive bikes don’t even have guards as they’re not needed. My LBS keeps them in stock because they break often. I think it was about $20.

Should I buy a Vado SL, or Wait for the Release of the Version with the 1.2 Motor?

If you find yourself having to push the bike, the walk mode works very well at removing the weight of the bike. I actually like these heavier bikes on the more complex trails I ride. I don’t do big jumps or drops anymore that the weight might be an issue but otherwise the extra weight gives a...

Should I buy a Vado SL, or Wait for the Release of the Version with the 1.2 Motor?

I’ve ridden trails like that on my Tero X5 with no problems. The Tero X, especially the 5 and 6 are very capable bikes. That said if that was only type of riding I did then I’d opt for the Levo.

Vado 3 IGH sort of review

I’ll start off by saying the Vado 3 IGH might be my favorite bike I’ve ever owed. The current Vado platform is certainly my favorite in terms of geometry and ride characteristics. I bought the Vado 3 IGH because I was interested in a belt drive and at the sale price from last year it was the...

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

I don’t find the Bosch motor to be any more reliable than the current Specialized/Brose motor. The reality is that all e-bike motors should be better and easier to service by the end user.

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

They said USA but there have been a few already available over here. Gazelle isn't a US company.

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

Am I missing something? The Verge article says this the first and only class 3 Smart System. Didn’t Riese and Muller already have that last year in the Charger 4?

    Anyone have the Zebra Pro?

The only issue that I'm aware of is that on the Cobra Pro and other mid drive bikes with the 1000w motors with the high nm's of torque was that it, along with poor shifting technique, was causing chains to break and having to replace cassettes. My personal opinion is that the Bafang 620 is too...

    Anyone have the Zebra Pro?

Cleaning or changing the chain is super easy on a mid drive. It’s no different than doing it on a hub drive or a regular bike.

Review Ride1Up Prodigy V2 XR (chain version)

Nice review. Those are good looking bikes that I took a look at. My problem is the one size fits all geometry. This is why I prefer actual, long established bike companies like Specialized that make different frame sizes as opposed to just using longer or shorter seat posts. I have a Vado in an...

    New vado models

A dealer told me the Vado 5 IGH would not be available until June. They didn’t know whether it would have any changes or just be the same as the ‘23 model.

Considering a Specialized, got a few questions

I have a Vado 3 with the same post and it's actually not bad. I think the Suntour suspension post is better. My wife has the Vado 4 and its post was super stiff when we got it. It adjusted to be comfortable but I ended putting on the Suntour because I had one and hadn't yet bought my Vado. I may...

Considering a Specialized, got a few questions

The suspension seat post IS adjustable. Take the post out and you'll see the adjustment screw on the bottom

Considering a Specialized, got a few questions

I find a more upright position fine for short trips, cruising, but learned that a more sporty position that balances the weight much better for any distances.

Considering a Specialized, got a few questions

Yes the Specialized Vado stem is peculiar one. I've seen people replace them with adjustable ones but they don't look right as they don't have the same shape. Your best best is to change the handlebars to some with a larger rise

    NBD Vado 3 IGH

Thanks! All the Vado's may be Class 3, that definitely appears to be the case. The IGH version on their site is still showing to be class 1, the chain version shows to be class 3. They probably just failed to update their website.

    NBD Vado 3 IGH

The Vado 3 with the chain shows as a class 3 on the Specialized site, the IGH version still shows as a class 1. I think the chain version of the Como 3 shows as being class 3 and the Como IGH was definitely a class 1. I don't know what's going on with their bikes but I'm glad mine is class 3.

    NBD Vado 3 IGH

Yet another new bike in my stable. I recently got the very awesome Tero X 5 and am very happy with it. When I bought I struggled with deciding to get it or the Vado 4. I loved the natural speed of the Vado but ultimately felt the full suspension and general do-it-all quality of the Tero X would...
