    Vado Derestriction

Why do you recommend Peartune over Speedbox, in particular with the bug that you mention? I have a Speedbox 3.0 with the bluetooth app and I cannot fault it. I can activate from the bike controller or via the app, and set whatever speed limit I require from the bike or cia the app. Admittedly...

    Reflectors covered by warranty?

Of course. Wear items may be required by law (e.g. tyres) but if you wear them out, the warranty does not apply. As said above, it is not the manufacturers job to keep your bike legally compliant - it only has to be compliant when they sell it to you. After that, you are responsible for...

    Raise bar height Tero X

I use a riser bar as I wanted to keep the original stem as it has a special slot to hold the computer display on my bike. I have an 80mm rise (53mm above std) and a 50mm rise bar (23mm above std). The 50 was not high enough to alleviate my neck/shoulder pain hence the 80. I am 6'7 and have a...

Mastermind TCD losing miles on ride distance

I hope not, I'm going through about 80% battery every single day - I don't think I could ride it any more without a spare battery. 🤣 I haven't - oddly, it has stopped doing it since around the time of my last post on the matter. Not sure if related or not, but last weekend I ended up with a...

    Impressed with Specialized store service

I went to turn on my Tero yesterday (7 month old, 2.5k mile, 80+ charge cycles) and found it non-responsive. I saw it charge upto 100% the night before so it wasn't out of juice. The battery was basically kaput - completely non-responsive. I took the bike to my nearest Spec store and the tech...

Mastermind TCD losing miles on ride distance

I used to think it was always reduced to 2/3 of the actual mileage, but yesterday was different - an 8.6 mile ride got reduced to 6.4. A very different ratio to what I was seeing before. I will start keeping a written record because I was not doing that before, if there is a pattern keeping...

Mastermind TCD losing miles on ride distance

I had thought about that - some kind of km to m conversion, but it's not the right formula to be exactly that. It's close but not there, and if it was doing an actual conversation it would be precise. Also, I have the bike set to display miles, so it would be converting the wrong way in any...

Mastermind TCD losing miles on ride distance

My Tero 4.0 randomly (and intermittently) loses miles on the TCD ride distance metric. It happens like this: - I reset the ride distance each time I use the bike, so I start the day with 0 miles. - I ride 15 miles today. The TCD shows 15 miles ridden and the ride is recorded in the app as 15...

Specialized app almost never connects to bike (Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH)

I have found that I have had a 100% success rate doing the the following when I use the bike, in this order precisely: 1. Turn off Bluetooth on my phone 2. Clear the cache on the specialized app 3. Turn on the bike 4. Turn on Bluetooth only AFTER the bike is on 5. Open the app. 1 and 2 are...

    New Turbo Tero 4.0 owner

I wasn't a big fan of the stem I bought - it creaked (cheap Amazon part; I guess its to be expected), it was ugly and losing the OEM mounting for the TCU meant the whole cockpit lost that 'factory integrated'feel. I was able to achieve the same effect by swapping the bar to a Deity Highside bar...

Specialized app almost never connects to bike (Turbo Vado 5.0 IGH)

I get it sometimes - its a pain. Not every time though, maybe 1 time in 6/7 I'd say. I find I have a better chance of it all working if I turn on the bike first, then open the app - rather than the other way around.

    New Turbo Tero 4.0 owner

Oh I see what you mean - I've just looked at the tero x 6.0 pics and can see it. Thanks for the tip! But yeah I'm changing the stem today anyway.

    New Turbo Tero 4.0 owner

Thankfully on the Tero the TCD cables aren't routed through the stem (you can see them loose out front in my photo), but the TCD mount is attached to the stem. I've ordered a few Garmin mount solutions to use with the new stem to mount the TCD. I ordered a few so I can try the various options...

    New Turbo Tero 4.0 owner

Hi all, I picked up a Turbo Tero 4.0 EQ step through model a few days ago. My first ever e-bike - I had not even ridden one before this was delivered - so have no e-bike experience to compare it to but I absolutely love this bike. I have a 2014 Specialized Crossroads sport which I still love...
