You look so civilized, compared to pictures of Stefan ...😉

    Just for fun...

Sometimes I say fun guy, sometimes I say fun jee (rhymes with bungee), other times I say fungee with a hard g. All three ways. Very ecumenical pronunciation. Never fun jai, though... Remember Oscar Wilde (I think) said, "Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."

Did you hear about the pediatrician who had anger management issues? . . . . . . . . He had little patients.

An angel asked God what he was doing. "Making Canadians," he answered. "Aww, they're so nice!" said the angel. "Oh, yeah? Watch this," God said, as he dropped a hockey puck...

2023 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Yes, I just don't get the appeal of mountain biking, particularly with our heavy ebikes. The roots and rocks just shake the shite out of one's spine and joints and the bike itself. And on the downhill you're just riding the brakes the whole way and hoping the gravel doesn't make your wheels...

    Priority bikes forum missing?

BH board is restored. 👍 Now if BH would just return to the NA market, or at least honor their warranties and provide parts for the bikes they sold here...

Look at what you can do with a bike wheel! (File under "What to do in case of Apocalypse").

    Priority bikes forum missing?

Probably. Also BH bikes are not imported or serviced in the North American market anymore. Can't be wasting space on dead bike companies. Except of course, BH isn't actually a dead bike company in Europe.

E-bike battery fires and common sense prevention per Wall Street.

Why have you had to buy so many ebikes? That's more than one a year...🤔

    Have you broken a chain?

Have not broken a chain by it failing, but once as I was riding, the chain slipped off the front sprocket/gear/whatchacallit, and managed to get caught near the center of the crank in such a way that I could not free it without busting open the chain. After walking it home 1/2 a mile, of course. 🙄

    Why are mountains so funny?... . . . . . . . . . ...Because they're hill areas. 😆🤣

OK, so at first this was difficult to watch, because it is heartbreaking to see this poor doggie whose hind legs have been crushed by a vehicle, but stick with it. This is the story of a young man who was bicycling across China to Tibet, and he picks up this wretched doggie by the side of the...

Do you carry an extra battery?

No. My legs will wear out before the battery will.

My exH was a hippie living in a teepee in the woods, long before I knew him. He said one night, he got up to go pee outside (as one does in the woods.) Buck naked, of course. He was peeing away, when suddenly a black bear came upon him. ExH threw up his arms and screamed in terror...

No it isn't 🤨: "1540s, "structure of any kind," from Middle French machine "device, contrivance," from Latin machina "machine, engine, military machine; device, trick; instrument" (source also of Spanish maquina, Italian macchina), from Greek makhana, Doric variant of Attic mēkhanē "device...

    Ride1up is in Seattle

I received an email from Ride1up about their bikes being available at Seattle Ebikes now. If you are in the Pacific NW, you can now try them out before you buy (and I assume buy them all assembled, etc.) I own a Ride1up Prodigy and I am quite happy with it. I've got about 430 miles on it so far...
