I thought of that too which is one of the reasons I added the little gadget so I only use my thumb to activate the twist throttle.

I thought that too but then realized that throttles twist backwards not forwards.

Curious why you say Rads throttle is dangerous? Never had a problem with mine. I did sort of turn it into a thumb throttle by adding a cheap ring that I work with just my thumb as I find it easier to use than twisting it with my wrist.

That's where a throttle rules. I can be in whatever gear I choose when I come to a stop and then use a second or two of throttle to get rolling again. Pretty much the only reason to use one.

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago but, rather than write a negative note I called and talked to them and they credited my account.

That can be a problem on the trail I ride on. Signs say class 1 only and 20 MPH speed limit. Problem is 20 mph is too fast on 90+% of the trail. When you have a downhill section with plenty of curves that you can't see around, what are you going to do when you go around said curve at speeds...
