    Schwalbe Super Moto X

Thanks so much for that info dblhelix! That article really explains it well. Some of the other google searches I found didn’t make it clear enough. It’s a lot different looking at a rim straight on versus a cross-section picture as shown in the Flocycling blog. I really panicked last night...

    Schwalbe Super Moto X

I have Schwalbe Super Moto X tires that I want to install on my Lectric XP Lite. The tire sidewall reads, “For use with Crotched Rims only”. The description of the tire when I purchased them said they were the Super Moto X ”Clincher WirePerformance line”. I don’t fully understand the concept...

XP/XP Lite Handlebar or Frame Bag

Balsa, the two concerns I had about this set-up were the cables at the handlebars getting in the way of the bag and interfering with the steering; the second thing was the Brompton bracket interfering with the headlight. I’ve solved the first issue by using a velcro strap around the top of the...

XP/XP Lite Handlebar or Frame Bag

Hey Balsa, you can get the bag and Brompton bracket at AliExpress. The mounting plate that attaches to the bike is a free sample of laminate flooring that you can pick up at Home Depot/Lowes. I just cut it down to the right size to mount to the bike with four stainless steel screws. It makes...

XP/XP Lite Handlebar or Frame Bag

Well, for those interested, I‘ve found a solution for a front mounted bag using a front mount Brompton bracket and Rhinowalk bag designed for the Brompton. It’s pretty slick…the bag just clicks right into the mount for easy on-off. I have now cancelled my two XP Lite rear racks that were on...

Our XP Lite finally arrived yesterday!

And don’t even think about a suspension seatpost! That will be another grin that will cost you. 😁

    Redshift ShockStop "Full Suspension" Review

Stefan Mikes, that Redshift Seatpost is a game changer. I let my wife try it out, now I have to buy another one. Boy, she’s expensive! ;) So thanks again for your excellent review on EBR and for answering my questions about the seatpost!!

Our XP Lite finally arrived yesterday!

Btw, that triumphant grin on my wife’s face after that first hill told me she was keeping it. 🙂 And that’s why I then had to order one for myself! No regrets. Like I mentioned before, it may not be the “perfect” bike, but for the money it’s a fun bike to ride.

Our XP Lite finally arrived yesterday!

Hey Balsa61, glad you enjoyed your first true test ride with your wife. When we looked at ebikes, my wife would have preferred a step-through, but we took our chances with the XP Lite hoping the stand-over height wouldn’t be an issue with her. With the bike having overall dimensions shorter...

XP/XP Lite Handlebar or Frame Bag

Thanks for responding, I agree the backpack is definitely not a long term solution. I’ve been looking at frame bags along this type...

    Question about Bike Radios

You might want to take a look at the JBL Wind 2 (round shape) or JBL Wind 3 (rectangular shape) bluetooth speaker with FM digital built in. (Sorry, no AM). But if you need AM you could use your smartphone and connect to the bluetooth function. I have a JBL Clip 3 bluetooth speaker similar in...

XP/XP Lite Handlebar or Frame Bag

So our XP Lite rear rack that was suppose to ship in mid-june is now delayed until the end of July. I would greatly appreciate any ideas of bags forum members may have that work well on the XP/XP Lite. It looks like the cables would be in the way for an outside mounted handlebar bag, but how...

Our XP Lite finally arrived yesterday!

True, but their inventory will also be at the mercy of supply issues like any other manufacturer these days.

    Redshift ShockStop "Full Suspension" Review

Stefan, thank you. I actually don’t want the hassle and mess of using any type of grease. Redshift was recommending it, but now that I know you’ve never had any problem not using grease, then I think I will order myself a new Redshift seatpost :). Thanks again for your input. Greatly...

    Redshift ShockStop "Full Suspension" Review

Stefan Mikes, Redshift Sports recommends that the outside of the seatpost should be greased before inserting into the seat tube so that there’s no chance of it seizing. I’ve never heard of this before and with a folding ebike, I don’t want the mess of grease when I’ll be bringing the seatpost...

    New XP Lite...

Balsa61, glad I could provide some help. The ElectricBikeReview forum is made up of a great bunch of people who are always ready to help and who have a great amount of knowledge and experience in the ebike world. That’s why I’ve been proud to be associated with the forum. Now getting back to...

    New XP Lite...

Hi tbhausen, Like you, I thought about changing the tires to the Schwalbe Super MotoX before i even got the bike, but since the tires have the slime I guess I’ll just make do for now. The knobby tires actually ride pretty good. I knew they were slimed when I put air in the tires and one of the...
