    Firmware update for charging limit

Total BS btw.. I bought this bike with the expectation that I could update it myself. I live in the mountains without any bike shops close to me. I like the bike, but will be looking elsewhere for my next ride.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Yeah. I did that last year. The original plastic bracket broke. So I got a metal bracket and arm from Amazon so my bag wouldn't interfere. I posted pics and part # on here somewhere.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

More plush ride than the Pathfinder sport. Felt nice. More hold on the gravel. Didn't notice any more rolling resistance. No issues.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Couldn't wait any longer for the Pathfinder Pro in 42 to be available. Got Tufo Thundero 44. Seems to fit fine. Going to go for a ride today.

Auto mode, do you use it?

I have a 2020 Reign E+1 with a 625wh battery. I broke my ankle last fall and am recovering. So needing more assistance this summer. I tried Auto mode the last few days and it seems kind of jerky. Doesn't really help me when I need it and then provides too much assistance when I don't...

help me with my Turbo Vado "buyer's remorse"

Explain the situation to the local specialized dealer. See if they will let you sell the Vado on consignment if you buy the Creo, or let you trade it in. Explain your injury situation and the miles on it. Cry a little bit and bring them some beer while you explain?

So getting back to my question. anyone try a 47 on the Vado SL?

    Turbo Vado SL 5.0 - Pathfinder Pro 2Bliss 700x47

Anyone know if this tire will work with the Vado SL 5.0 2022? The shop is telling me the 42 will work, but it's been out of stock since forever. They are saying the diameter of the tire+wheel will be too much with the 47. I can't see any specs for this tire on Specialized's web-site, so I...

Bike shop charging fee to upgrade mission control?

Disagree. I think it should be free. Every other piece of electronic equipment that needs updated firmware, doesn't require me to bring it to a shop and pay a fee. Phone, computer, printer. I have tons of devices in my house. I never have to bring it to a shop. If I am forced to bring it...

    Vado (SL), Gazelle, Oh My..

I tried all 3 of those bikes. It really depends on your needs. I was looking for a bike that had a little juice to help me on hills, because of years of injuries and getting older. I just liked how light the SL was, with a little help.

    Specialized Extender Battery on sale

My local Specialized shop and Specialized online have the Extender Battery, cable and y-cable on sale. The battery was $336. Cables were around $45.

    Firmware update for charging limit

Yeah. I think it only applies if you ride a know route or amount of time and know you won't use the full charge. Otherwise I'd want my battery to be 100. Also. Sometimes if I know I have extra charge, I'd ride farther or a different route. Kind of a weird thing to be honest. Buy a bike...

    Firmware update for charging limit

Interesting. I just got an email about it. It says it can only be done by a dealer and that they may charge for it. It's interesting that they put that caveat in about dealers charging for firmware upgrades. Pretty BS. Definitely won't be getting another Specialized bike if they try and...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Out for the season. Scrambled my ankle into small pieces. Hopefully back in the spring. Keeping up with all the SL news so I can get back in the saddle!

New Firmware for multiple bikes. Only updatable via the bike shop

So all this begs the question.... I'm assuming there isn't some place that I could possibly download firmware and utility and do it myself unofficially?

New Firmware for multiple bikes. Only updatable via the bike shop

$50 for a firmware update. What a rip. I think if you need to get a firmware update and they don't allow you to do it yourself, it should be free. What about the 2-year warranty? Shouldn't they be covering the firmware under warranty?
