Charging a Stromer 48V battery while traveling by car

I have often wondered about the possibility of being able to charge my Stromer ST-2 battery using the 12V system in my car while on the road. Has anyone came across a way to do this efficiently, or is this even possible

Anyone Own a Turbo Levo Comp Fat

I just bought that very bike last weekend. I also own a Stromer ST-2. I have only ridden it 10-12 miles or so at this point, but pretty impressed with the bike. I like the fat tires and front shock and my thinking is that when the weather is a bit messy, I can jump on the Turbo Levo and not...

How are you carrying an extra battery

Agree with Ravi...carrying an extra 12 lbs in the form of three or so end to endbricks cannot be much fun, and if for some reason your bike tipped over or got involved in an accident; that extra battery could end up being very, very expensive.

    St2 torque sensor

I'm pretty sure the following will allow you to reset your torque sensor: 1. Set the bike on the main screen that has Lock, Off, Sensor, Move, Menu. 2. Pull and hold the right brake lever. 3. While holding the right brake lever, push the Menu icon. 4. While holding the a Menu icon, release...

Very poor recent purchasing experience for ST2S

Something is definitely not right here. I have had nothing but superlative performance when contacting Stromer. I did have to replace my Omni unit because it too was failing to connect. They sent me a new part, tool to extract the start-up button on the bike, and directions for removing and...

    ST1 X Review

I agree with Ravi completely. I have always used max air pressure on my bikes, thinking that it decreases rolling resistance from the tires. I found out thru experimentation that 30-32 psi up front made riding the Stromer a lot more fun. Letting those Big Ben's absorb some of the shock is...

    ST2 Rear hub clatter

Don't give up...I had some similar thoughts regarding "fiddly" when I first got my bike (ST-2); especially so when my OMNI unit went kerplunk. They sent me a new one which I installed myself and they have answered any other queries I have run into. (I once had to reset the torque sensor via...

    ST1 X Review

"86 and still kicking has got it right"...good advice and well worth the money. I made arrangements with our local bike dealer to service the mechanicals on the bike before purchasing (ST-2), as I too bought on the internet because of my distance from anyone selling the Stromer bikes. One has...

    2017 Racktime Trunk Bag Thread

Just bought this bag and like it very much, also came from the Netherlands. The rack is grey, but has the proper adjustment for the narrow racktime rack on the Stromer's. I believe the bag can be purchased with or without the rack from some suppliers. I also used the Trekinn website...

    ST-2 spokes

Does anyone have experience purchasing spokes for the rear and front wheels on a Stromer ST-2? I assume that the front is not an issue in terms of spoke size, but it would seem that the rear hub will need a special spoke, unique to Stromer? Also what gauge spokes are on front and rear rims? Thanks

New tires for ST2, which ones where to buy?

gotta love that......I bought the tubes from an un-named internet retailer by the name of Bezos; those tubes with the steel caps are well worth the extra money...

New tires for ST2, which ones where to buy?

I purchase direct from Schwable, takes a little more time, but they do a god job of getting the tires to one. I also use their tubes which I generally buy on the internet. Often they can be purchased with the more expensive caps which are metal and have a rubber seal to help keep in the air...

    Thinking about selling my ST2

Having lived in Vermont of over 40 years, I get the weather thing; I did a lot of biking up there but the window is a bit short, for sure. Your last sentence above reminded me that you may have gotten some health benefits that would seem to go along ways in terms of the initial cost of the...

    2017 Racktime Trunk Bag Thread

Thanks for the pics and info. I have a Rixien &Kaul bag with zip down panniers which I like very much, but finding myself not using the panniers as much as I thought I might. I ordered the Vaude bag today because the rack attachment alone costs almost as much as the bag and rack itself. My...

    redsport shock stem installation

Thanks for the insight as well as the measurements Russ. I measured the stem handlebar linkage and it is within 1/16" of 1 and 3/4". It looks to me (without taking the linkage apart) that the light attaches to the handlebar stem via two small "ears" that fit under the handlebar clamp after it...
