I did get to the spring and removed the plastic also. I have an old Cannondale with a seat post and it's movement is very free. I'm not sure how much better gliding I can get from the Sondors. Might have to go to plan B with the seat post posted by Tone Rob but I hate to have to spend $120

I think a 52 tooth might work. Obviously chain length and the ring gear being slightly above the chain guard must be considered. Another consideration is the ease of pedaling in first gear. I purchased mine on Amazon Prime so returns are accepted.

I went to the advanced settings on my display to set the maximum speed to 25MPH. I saw the AMP factory setting was 20 but noticed it could be increased. Does anyone know what affect it has to raise the amp setting. Does it give more power to the motor, thus raising the max speed. I would think...

Tone Rod, just out of curiosity, how fast can you get your bike up to with just the throttle? I set my speed limiter to the maximum 25mph but can only get get up to around 22-23 mph, throttle only. My weight is 175lbs.
