Using Di2 hood buttons to control motor assist level? YES AND SOLVED!

Yes you wouldn’t think it would be this hard, it I guess that Shimano part is specific to the motor. At any rate, I’d be curious to hear if there is any other e-bike where this can be done. This feature will keep me loyal to the Domane+

Using Di2 hood buttons to control motor assist level? YES AND SOLVED!

My LBS got this to work. It is very cool. Right hood button is assist up. Left hood button is assist down. Super cool because there is no more delay between assist level 1 and off (with the normal assist buttons, you had to hold the down button for an extra long time to kill the assist). So...

Using Di2 hood buttons to control motor assist level? YES AND SOLVED!

Yes thanks I have that app and I have used it to configure the buttons to control my garmin scroll. But I do not have the option to use the buttons to control motor assist. I think this is because I lack that shinano part for the bike

Using Di2 hood buttons to control motor assist level? YES AND SOLVED!

I have done more research on this. I believe the key to using the hoods for assist control is to install this device: https://www.tradeinn.com/bikeinn/en/shimano-ew-ex310-sd300-port-x2-adapter-can-for-di2-e-bike/140353238/p the catch, for some of us, is that it is not available for purchase in...

Using Di2 hood buttons to control motor assist level? YES AND SOLVED!

According to this, it is possible to control the assist level with the buttons on the top of Dura-Ace Di2 hoods. Anyone figure out how to do this? Assist level is not an option in a Garmin computer setup screen, nor did I see that with e-tube project. However, my shifter firmware needs...

Domane+ motor assist button help please

Sorry I am new to this bike, but I'm wondering 2 things about the motor assist buttons. 1. Has anyone experimented with an alternate placement relative to factory? They sit pretty far recessed, to the lip of the hoods. So, I really have to roll/side my thumb base far to hit the button. I was...

Today was supposed to be new Creo announcement day!

This is unfortunate for me. I would have preferred lighter, with weaker motor if need be. I almost never run it at 100% but would like more mileage at say 60%.

So the Creo 2 is basically same weight, same battery, more powerful motor?

Creo power level on Garmin is rider only

Power pedals were nearly identical to Creo reported power, also surprised me.

Creo power level on Garmin is rider only

Very cool. You have newer Creo, or you were able to upgrade just the TCU?

Creo power level on Garmin is rider only

I'd always assumed the power meter reading I was getting on my Garmin, coming from my Creo, was rider only, not rider + motor. But, I saw some folks saying that power reading was rider + motor. So, I put power meter pedals on my Creo and rode with 2 Garmins: one reading the Creo, and one...

Karoo 2 with Creo...Garmin still the best for long rides

That is cool! So did you drain REs first or in parallel? I did a 100 mile race with Creo programmed at 100% assist, draining first, and I regretted that.

Karoo 2 with Creo...Garmin still the best for long rides

Good question. I don’t use Mission Control while riding because I’m unwilling to mount my phone rather than a bike computer.

Karoo 2 with Creo...Garmin still the best for long rides

First my setup... Riding an 2021 S-Works Creo on long rides (90 miles or so), not terribly flat, trying to keep up with younger healthier friends. I don't really use the range extender, my phone, Mission control, or the TCD when I ride. I only use a bike computer and am willing to use any. My...

Use Hammerhead Karoo 2 with Creo?

If so, I’m wondering how well the Range vs. Route field works. And does the Bike vs. Rider Power field work too?
