Is that ebike insurance only available in california? I took out a velosurance policy but am regretting it...after reading the fine print I am skeptical they would pay out in a loss or theft...lot of little technicalities in the policy.

I was shocked to see some of the specialized turbo creo models start at 15000USD. You can buy a compact car for that money. It will last a couple hundred thousand miles longer than the bike. Crazy

Might as well chime in again that with the old man mountain rack, the entire load is carried on the thru axel. Its a rock solid design. I don't see any reason to buy a rack other than old man mountain.
