Recommendation for ebike for commute on mountain trails

Finding an ebike built for mountain trails weighing less than 45 lbs could be a challenge. The Turbo Levo is great, but still weighs 52 lbs. How "bumpy" are these mtn roads/ trails? To me, suspension is important. I have a new full suspension bike, and, while it weighs more, smoothing out the...

Discover 2 and, soon, Nomad 2

The Discover 2 looks like (and sounds like) such a nice bike. If I hadn't just bought another new bike a few weeks ago, I would have been looking HARD at this one. The Nomad 2, when it comes out, should be a clear winner over others, like Rad, Lectric and even Aventon. The current Nomad, even...

Evelo Omega - 200 Mile Review

Guy said he had all kinds of issues and that it was a nightmare. I really liked the bike, but didn't want to chance it. Wish I had pulled the trigger, though, before the end of Feb as the prices jumped in March.

Why no sub-forum for Euphree e-bikes?

I can only tell you that the City Robin X+ rides like a dream. I think "what if?" every day that I didn't purchase that bike. I test-rode many bikes, too... very nice ones, but that's the one that I keep coming back to thinking about.

Evelo Omega - 200 Mile Review

So, just to update, I did buy an open box Omega... for about 2 hours. Frankly, I changed my mind for 2 reasons: 1. Really wanted that suspension 2. There is/ was a poster (might be on an ebike group on FB) that really talked me out of the Omega. He still has one, but he was adamant that he...

Shipping Container of New Biktrix FS Model Stolen.. Help track down the thieves.

I agree wholeheartedly that this sucks and hope that the thieves are found. My question, though, as a business owner myself... you telling me that Biktrix doesn't have insurance to cover this? What about the shipyard? I can't imagine the Biktrix is going to be out $500k. They won't be...

How Many e-Bikes do you have and ride ??

I bought a mid-drive as I don't consider myself a lazy rider, and it rides great... exactly as it is supposed to. However, I am coming around to the realization that maybe I am the lazy rider I didn't think i was. The hub drive is easier... to me, at least. I'm sure I'll get used to shifting...

How Many e-Bikes do you have and ride ??

Just bought my 2nd Himiway. My 1st was the original Himiway Cruiser, which I will ride still on occasion, especially if I am feeling "lazier." My new one is the new Himiway A7 Pro, mid-drive, full-suspension urban cruiser. I may see about putting on some knobbier tires on the A7 to try it on a...

Unsolicited comments about your ebike lately?

Same here in Folsom, CA... still get the occasional weekend Lance Armstrong in lycra on the American River Bike Trail who is bitter, but they hate everyone... e-bikers, mtn bike riders, hikers, kids, dogs... themselves.

hill climbing? 750W hub versus 250W mid drive

Well, I know what is "supposed" to be, but my old 750w hub drive Himiway Cruiser flew up steep hills while my new mid-drive Himiway A7 Pro struggles... let me amend that, I am struggling with it. Maybe I AM a lazier rider than I thought I was.

2nd ride on Himiway A7 Pro - what went into thinking and other bikes I considered

Yeah, I switched to the Cloud 9 seat. I've repositioned the bell, so will see if that works for me as the right side of the handlebars is pretty "busy" now with the gears, the throttle and the bell. I also put my handlebars in a more upright, relaxed position. While I pedal the entire time, I...

Why no sub-forum for Euphree e-bikes?

I was looking under bike brands, and Euphree isn't an option. I know they are growing and just released the new "Stellar Falcon." I just purchased a different bike, but the one, of out all that I test-rode (Aventon Aventure2, Electric Bike Company... a couple of their models, Wired Freedom...

2nd ride on Himiway A7 Pro - what went into thinking and other bikes I considered

This was my 1st time uploading a video to YouTube. I will get better at it, but it has my first impressions of the Himiway A7 Pro, what I like and stuff I need to improve upon to make it the ride I want and some of the other bikes I considered.

    Ordered the A7 Pro

Yeah, the weight was my only hesitation. It looks to be a really nice bike. I'll post my own review (no video) once I get a couple of rides under my belt.

    Ordered the A7 Pro

Debating whether to keep my original Himiway Cruiser to just beat on or to sell it for cheap. I'll figure that out once I seat how this new one handles.

    Ordered the A7 Pro

via a local bike shop, who will assemble w/ Tannus inserts (why not?). It's supposed to ship to the bike shop (so, shipping from SoCal to NorCal), so it's possible that I could be riding it this weekend. Can't freaking wait!

    Aventon Level or Himiway?

I've had the original Himiway Cruiser for 4 years now, have a little over 2650 miles on it (had an injury that kept me off it a while) & it still is fast, strong and goes for quite some range (over 2 rides last week, totalled 52 miles & about 2,000 feet climbing). BTW, I weigh 245, and it still...

    Specialized Turbo Levo

Nice! I like to use the single-track around Lake Natoma. It's a lot of fun. Yes, Dirt Daze is a lot of fun. You'll want to get there early, though, as the e-mtn bikes get checked out quickly. You can beat them up for hours, and I know first hand that the mtn bikers around Nevada City have made...

Evelo Omega and Priority Current compared

I was considering that one, but, when I do go off-trail, I have this awful habit of crashing, bloody-ing (is that a word?) myself up and, occasionally, unable to pedal after that (yikes, I know). I'd be on that Prodigy V2 w/ CVT like white on rice, but, without that ability to throttle, I can't...
