    Review of my Lectric ONE.

Well this is underwhelming but appreciated. The plethora of magnets purports to imbue torque sensor-like qualities to the cadence sensor. Have you owned any torque-sensing bikes? I'm trying to figure out whether the magnets are a kludge, or if it just feels delayed compared to pure cadence...

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

Thank you. I have a 31.6 Kinekt seatpost I could dedicate to this bike, if I take the plunge. Sounds as though I will need a shim. Looking forward to your comments as you use the bike.

What is the seatpost diameter? Couldn't find it in the review write-up. I miss Court's attention to detail. Thanks.

NYC PSA E-bike Battery Fires 11/11/22 NBC News

Lithium ion battery fires are the #1 cause of fire-related deaths in NYC. Given that the buildings are likely given guidance by property insurance companies, thus is likely to get complicated. I did not watch the video either but did look for the attorney. A bike accident lawyer, hmm. Imagine...

    2021–2022 Riese & Müller Homage

Exactly my experience -- 2 flats within first 1000 miles. I also experienced sidewall damage. Sidewalls were thin, presumably to accommodate folding.

    Nyon Retrofit

I have at least 1, maybe 2. I can look for them if you want. If I have 2, I'm happy to give you one free.

    Nyon Retrofit

Yes, just the Nyon (1gb or 8gb) screen which slides into the Intuvia mount. The Intuvia control unit (switch) should work with Nyon. The only time I've seen it not work is really old versions (2015-16) of the switch. The Nyon unit has a toggle next to the screen, giving you an alternative to...

Update Failed on Nyon gen 1

I had this problem with Nyon 1. As it was never officially released in the US, my dealer refused any assistance :( The good news is that with repeated attempts while systematically making changes, I always managed to get it working (eventually). My first suggestion would be to remove the device...

That's with a cloth cover for the top battery. no less. I predict that cloth battery cover will be nothing but trouble. Looks great on the showroom floor, tho'.

Charging Ebikes on EV Charging stations

I enjoyed your proof-of-concept and consider it a form of advocacy. The comments regarding how easy it is to find an outlet seem dated to me. Public/private entities increasingly are discouraging charging due to 1) Safety. As an example, my regional rail now explicitly forbids bike battery...

    Help finding a charger

The scooter manufacturer might be out of business, but the battery manufacturer is still around. I'd contact them to get a connector ID and possible recommendation on how to source a charger. I doubt they still make this battery, but it won't hurt you to reach out...

    Delite with ortlieb paniers

R&M makes TuffCoat foil available (free) via your dealer to protect the rack. Comes in sheets and actually works well. Don't know if they've continued the practice -- I was given some in 2022.

    Touch up paint

The frame tape is still a good suggestion if you ever sell the bike. I used it on a non-electric Bianchi, and the paint looked like new when I sold it after 7 years of use. Got my asking price bc appearance is what sells, for better or for worse.

SuperDelite 2020 Rohloff HS Issues & Support

Didn't you report at the time that you experienced oil leaks and a cable problem caused E14 shifting problems? Wasn't the cable specific to E14? https://forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/known-issues-problems-with-riese-mueller-products-help-solutions-fixes.12917/page-14#post-585254

    Multiple Rohloff issues on Supercharger

:Really, there are only two issues with the leaking. 1) oil on the brake rotors 2) $10k+ ebikes often get kept indoors. In the olden days, a little leaking in the garage was not much different from fluids released from cars, lawnmowers, etc.

    Multiple Rohloff issues on Supercharger

Re: Rohloff reliability Mechanical (non-E14) users tend to be satisfied with their Rohloff hub except for the chronic leaking some experience, even after using less oil, replacing seals etc, etc. Having suffered both the leaking and E-14 problems (locked into 14, ugh, with incorrect gears...

    Bosch Solar Charging

I've done this as well on longer trips, but I've also used the Bosch travel adapter with a smaller "power station" capable of pass-thru charging. The chief benefit is compact storage & various outlets to simultaneously charge other electronics. The primary drawback is the 72W limit. I'm guessing...

    Bosch Solar Charging

Note: Adapter required for what looks like an XLR plug to connect to Bosch (batteries manufactured between between Classic and Smart System, i.e., the majority of batteries out there in circulation). The Bosch travel charger (no longer in production) is a 12V CLA charger with the Bosch plug...
