Here are some wider photos. Top is the motor with Anderson Connector. Bottom is the wire that goes to the battery connector. Even if I should solder an Anderson Connector to the part in the bottom of the photo, I should be able to connect these 2 pieces to test to make sure it all works, right?

Well, there have been some headaches since I last posted, but I think I am figuring it out! I have a 36V 15.6ah battery. It fits! But not by much. I used pipe straps to mount a water bottle holder on the top of the frame right in front of the seat. It works.

I'll survive! For now I'm just using my road bike and staying away from the hills.

Thanks. Yeah, I started a Return Request through Amazon, which is cancellable, and I emailed them and told them I'd done that through the site. If they offer to just send me a new motor, I'll be happy with that result. I really don't want to take the rest of the bike apart, or have to figure out...

I'm not going to totally start over, but if the worst thing I have to do is buy a new motor, I'll survive. Then maybe I could tear down the existing motor and learn how it all works and maybe get it operating again and put it on a different bike eventually.

Probably! I get a bunch of different names of people when they respond to me. I had actually tried to cancel my order with them and spend a few hundred more on getting everything from California Ebikes, and they told me the order had already shipped...which was true for the motor and...

The vendor is Greenergia They only get 80% positive reviews on Amazon but they get over 99% positive reviews on Ebay. I am thinking that's because on Amazon it's harder to figure out how to contact a vendor directly. I am in contact with them and so I have high but tempered hopes in sorting...

I'm sorry, the magnet on the speed sensor is what got knocked out of place.

Thanks. I can't figure out exactly where the PAS is. Is it behind the 2 gear like pieces pictured below?

The red light on the speed sensor is working. The pedal assist sensor is not visible on this model, to the best of my knowledge. It's inside the motor, I believe.

Well, I've accessed the controller, and the wires all appear to be fine. I have changed the number of pedal assist modes using the display to see if that would reset it and it has not. I am contacting the Amazon seller I bought it from to see what they say. They are responsive so hopefully...
