    What bike to choose?

not sure if they make racks for cargo bikes but how about a regular bike that tows a trailer behind it? also i found that attending a bike show helped me zero in on what kind of bike i really liked. look for bike expos or really huge stores that carry a wide variety of ebikes not just a select...

What do you expect from an E-bike?

what is the rating of the torque? nm? 40 mile min without pedaling? does throttle to override pedal assist? can you use the odometer in pedal assist 0? what kind of comfort features will it have? front suspension? rear suspension? or maybe bigger cushy tires to absorb road impact?

Newbie Question on Car Transport - How? Dedicated E-Bike Car Racks?

i do not recommend that Thule rack. and i speak from experience, i have that rack and it has let me down. my Radrover almost fell off the rack multiple times. and once it did actually fall off the rack while going over a bridge. i triple reinforce the rack with my own chains and ties to keep...

    BESV Jaguar JS1

update for this bike review. the bikes shipping now appear to have a folding key making it flush(ish) with the frame, but you still have to leave the key in to turn it on.

comparing similar bikes which would you get?

if that is how it shakes out. i think it is worth it. the catch is if the new bike is on sale same as the old bike. besv has a deal for people who attended a bike expo recently but this bike wasn't on the market at that time. worst case scenario if the new bike isn't on sale then it will be 800...

comparing similar bikes which would you get?

So far from some online searches I see the newer model is 300 bucks more. But looks like it comes equipped with a rear rack as well.

comparing similar bikes which would you get?

i'm looking at two very similar bikes. in fact it is the same bike but with some refreshed components. from BESV the models are the JS1 and the JS1 advance the things that are unknown as of now are they the same price? (i have sent emails-waiting for answer) if they are, maybe the older...

    Any RadMini people out there

the folding aspect to this bike is definitely what I want. I already own a RadRover and the power of the motor is fine. I'm interested in this because of the folding aspect and the increased torque

    Any RadMini people out there

so if i'm understanding this correctly since torque doesn't really get you top speed but rather more pulling power up the hill. i'm nearer to 270lb, so the bike's got much more work to do going up the hill. do you feel the radmini is up to the task? if you added more weight like bags of...

    Any RadMini people out there

can anyone comment on the torque. it's rated at 90nm which is twice that of the Radrover. does it seem like it has monster power in the torque dept? does it make you ride any differently up a hill? take on steep hills that you've been afraid of previously?

    Rear Rack installation for RadRover

can you post a closer pic of the area where the "clamps" go? the part right under the seat. is that the "Portland design P Mounts"? i noticed the amazon link provided says "currently unavalable" so without that item this rack is a no go?

GeoOrbital Wheel promises to make your normal bike electric in 60 seconds

can you put this on an existing ebike for added power? if the speed sensors cut off at 20 would you just get added torque from 0-20?

    Accessorizing the RadRover

@pxpaulx really like that rack you recommended. but you stated on another thread about using some other brackets? "I used Portland design mounting brackets...they weren't wide enough to boy through but wrapped tightly enough that I'm using them for the time being." can you elaborate on...

i emailed the company a very long time ago and have never gotten a reply. go figure. on the other hand RadPowerBikes stepped up and replaced the kickstand with a more sturdy one. been happy ever since.

    BESV Jaguar JS1

you can always add a bodyfloat for your seat or a thudbuster. haven't checked to see if they would fit on these bikes but that would be sweet.
