Superdelite Mountain Rohloff for Road Riding?

It’s a great piece of kit. The Mountain has different gearing than the standard SD - hill climbing is much easier! Upgrades I recommend - consider shorter crank arms to eliminate ground strike, put new better quality pedals on, and finally, grab a leather Brooks saddle - hard at first but very...

Handlebar Options for Superdelite Mountain Rohloff?

I am looking to do something similar with my SD Mountain now I’m riding not so much single track. My solution I am looking into is changing over to the standard Superdelite stem, which is easily adjusted and rolls the handlebars upwards and backwards - or at least it did on my earlier Delite.

    Homage 2 month review

It is most likely rear shock pressure. Check pressure matches your total rider wait. Your bike should have come with a shock pump/ pressure guage. Failing that you might need the rear shock replaced.

    Rohloff e-14 oil leak

The internet will be amplifying the apparent occurrence of the issue - not good for those experiencing the problem however. Nearly 3 years on mine, no leaks. I do make sure it is never laid on its side however.

Tubed vs Tubeless - what are you doing on your R&M?

With larger battery capacities, rolling resistance is becoming less relevant in most use cases I would think? Thanks for the link, it was an interesting and informative read.

Tubed vs Tubeless - what are you doing on your R&M?

Ive been running with Tannus Tyre Armour for 3 yers - fingers crossed not a puncture to be seen in that time, same for my wife's Homage. P.S. @sammcneill When I was riding lots of single track I used to deflate my tires to around 18psi for max grip - the Tannus allows this kind of punishment...

How is noise from the Bosch CX motor?

At first I noticed it, but now I don’t. Not sure if that helps!

Hypotheticals - would you replace your R&M with another R&M??

Yes down in Dunedin. We have ridden the route most of the way on both sides of the harbour but with the 5km or so section near Port Chalmers still missing but due for completion about now. It was very scenic indeed, and the completed off road circular ride will be around 45km with a 15 minute...

Hypotheticals - would you replace your R&M with another R&M??

I went from a 2019 Delite Vario to a 2020 Superdelite Mountain to get extra range. It was prompted because (I believe) of a software bug in the smartphone system that kept throwing an error associated with modding the motor (503 I think it was), hence diasabling it at random times. Bosch...

    Custom paint jobs on R&M

To be fair I love my factory “tundra grey matte” on my Superdelite Mountain. I do love the burnt orange/bronze on the old Superdelite too, which I could be tempted to convert to.

The world's longest bicycle tunnel - or maybe the second longest anyway :)

That is a great design solution. To be fair, some cyclists can be just as bad - mainly the weight weenie acoustic bike riders without bells riding as if it was an olympic time trial!

Transporting Cargo eBikes (specially Dutch style)

Looking forward to someone knowledgeable replying. We would have got a Load by now if I could have solved transporting it without a van/large trailer!

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

My SD Mountain has no kickstand either, so I have become an expert of placing my bike just so it balances perfectly against anything taller than 30cm 😊

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

Most likely. I was going off the metrics R&M use to define the distance travelled. 1.9m to 10.15m per pedal rotation for the Superdelite, compared to 1.57m to 8.4m on the SD Mountain.

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

Sam will have ridden some good hills given he rides the Port Hills in Christchurch. I've ridden up the World's steepest street, here in Dunedin NZ, with my Rohloff fitted Superdelite Mountain - better climbing gear ratio than the standard Superdelite. I didn't even get out of my saddle! 85kg...

New Riese and Müller Delite Review

Congrats, and great write up many will find useful. Thanks for taking the time to convert to metric too. If you end up like me, you will swop out for a superdelite eventually cos that comfy ride demands riding further than the single battery affords 😊
