    FLX Blade 2.0

One thing I’m concerned by is the 1 year warranty. With this being a new model and unique frame engineering required to pull of the belt drive I hope there aren’t any frame issues in the long run.

    SRAM EX1?

Anyone have experience with this ebike specific drivetrain? How many miles do you get before you need to change the cassette?

    Luna Belt Drive BABE

Who’s that? Has there been evidence of this?

    Frey

@Sinbord1981 do you think there are new versions of the AM and HT in the near future? Looks like the 5.0 came up in April 2019 and the 4.0 in April 2018. Think that pattern will continue?

    Luna Belt Drive BABE

    Nice! What color?

    Frey

Do you have an album you can share with various colors that they have done? It helps to see past examples when choosing a color :)

    Frey

@Sinbord1981 do you know if Frey will install a Rohloff on any of their models (particularly the CC or AM)? Lots of people seem to be upgrading to the EX1 drivetrain and the cassette alone is over $300 USD. Getting a Rohloff up front may be cheaper in the long run and be more reliable.

    Luna Belt Drive BABE

If only it had full suspension it would have everything on my wish list.

    One bike for all seasons?

My commute is 10 miles each way. On the 5k end I’m looking at FLX blade 2.0. https://flx.bike/products/blade-2-0 I like the idea of a hub drive bike for the bad stuff.

    One bike for all seasons?

I’m in the process of buying my first Ebike. I’m looking for a multi use commuter and trail bike that I can use year round. I live in Wisconsin so the winter commutes will be in the cold and salt. The bikes I’m considering are in the $3-5k range. Is it a bad idea to ride an expensive bike in...

    Frey

This was the response I got from grace: One thing I’d be concerned about it the ease of removing the battery. Looks like it comes out from the bottom so a larger wheel may require you to turn the wheel to the side to get the battery in and out. 29” would seem to be ideal for commuting. With...

    FLX Blade 2.0

Anyone pull the trigger on this? I’m looking for an all purpose bike and this fits the bill quite nicely. If only it had full suspension it would be perfect.

I hear ya on the matte black. I like it....but I would prefer something with a little more pizazz than that. The CC is hard because it is all a solid color with no real contrasting color options like they have on the AM. So you really have to like the color. I’ve seen other matte black bikes in...

    Frey

Looks sharp in matte black. I’m dying for user feedback on this bike. I must have watched the YouTube video from electrek at least a dozen times! Did you do any customization with components? Are you using yours strictly as a commuter?

Please compare Bafang Ultra vs Bafang BBSHD, especially reliability.

I would 2nd Frey as an option. Chinese? Yes, but they have a following on the endless sphere forums and it sounds like they will do right by you. They warranty the entire bike for two years. there is a possibility though that you will need support and mailing stuff back and forth will take time...

    Thanks for starting

What version of the AM do you have? Do you keep to trails or do some road riding as well?

Commuter & trail bike class 3

That is looking pretty nice! Rack, fenders and lights with the touring package. That made the top of the list so far, thanks!

Commuter & trail bike class 3

I’m looking for a year round commuter that is also capable of off road mtb trails in the area (southeast Wisconsin). Class 3 is a must and bonus points for a fully integrated downtube battery. Budget is 3-5k, would want the higher end of that range to have something like a belt drive or Rohloff.
