Yes, I am on level 4 assist which should be the fastest I can go but when I hit the throttle I get extra power. I guess throttle = max torque/max assist and since I am not pedaling at max speed on level 4 it seems less. I had cadence-powered ebike before that's why I thought it was interesting...

My level 1/2 seem not very noticeable (at least on low level hills), 3 really start to feel it, 4 start to cruise and then throttle is super kick. I had assumed (wrongly) that level 4 was the same power assist level as throttle but on my bike at least the throttle is a whole different ball...

It's true it is a still a very small company but the most expensive part on the bike is the BionX D500 which BionX itself will cover for 2 years (and OHM for 3-- they have a deal with BionX to extend warranty). Even if they fold -- BionX will be around. Seems to be expanding though and...
