    Faster Charging?

According to Court's reviews, Easy Motion batteries for the 2015 EVO line are made by Samsung.

    Charge battery @ >50% twice a day, or @ <5% once a day?

Thanks everyone. I now take my charger to work, got a 2nd one reserved at my dealer.

Questions about "Distance To Go" and "Ah" setting on new display unit

Sorry, I misread your post, thought you were able to change it. So, maybe this is a countdown for the battery and will train itself over time to better accuracy? BH really ought to step up their game in the documentation department.

Questions about "Distance To Go" and "Ah" setting on new display unit

I think the battery display algorithm is probably a lot less precise than the percentage suggests. My display drops 3% almost immediately, and really gets wacky when under 10%. I take that number with a grain of salt, and use it just to get some relative idea how close I am to dropping another...

Questions about "Distance To Go" and "Ah" setting on new display unit

I have this same console unit. The PDF you linked to (which, btw, doesn't match this new console unit exactly) says on page 4 that 'M TO GO' is 'Distance to go in miles'. Go to what? Because you can set the number with the +/- keys, I'm guessing this is simply a mileage countdown. The 'Ah'...

    Charge battery @ >50% twice a day, or @ <5% once a day?

I just got a new Evo Cross for my 24mi round-trip commute. I'm expecting to do this commute 5x a week, and hope to get at least three years service out of the battery. Riding somewhat hard at 70% assist (2nd highest assist mode) gets me to work in about 40m without too much sweat. Due to a...

    1500 mile update NeoJumper 26"

Excellent report Mike - very informative. Regarding: What kind of torque wrench do you use for adjusting the torque sensor bolts? I have a thread going on about this topic, and everyone is telling me to not mess with it, and that I'd need a very expensive torque wrench to achieve BH's...

    torque specification?

I see folks like @Mtnm do this procedure on a regular basis: "I do try to keep the Torque Sensor clean and adjusted to proper N-m settings of 1 Nm for the two small bolts and 10 Nm for the three larger bolts. It seems to help the responsiveness." @Mtnm, could you perhaps share your your...

    torque specification?

I will take it to the shop, but not for lack of confidence that I can follow basic directions just as well. I still intend to acquire a good torque wrench & necessary sockets so that than I manage this basic maintenance on my own. Any tips regarding my original query would be appreciated.

    torque specification?

I want to adjust the torque sensor on my new Easy Motion Evo Cross to hopefully correct some issues I'm seeing with the lower assist modes (I know, the shop I bought it from would do it, but they're closed right now and I want to learn). I'm looking at a BH document that specifies torque levels...

Another Evo Cross arrival - purchase and 1st ride impressions

I picked up my new Evo Cross last night, and today took it on a 25mi ride to evaluate one of the commute routes I've been obsessing over lately. Following are some impressions, findings, and minor concerns (short version - I love this beautiful bike!): I'm 5'10 with 31.5 inseam. I agonized...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

One concern I have with the BodyFloat is that it sets the saddle position back an inch or two. If one has already adjusted their saddle forward for best fit on a given frame, introducing the BodyFloat is going to push the saddle rearward, perhaps with insufficient adjustment left to correct.

    Highly Informed....Not!

I have hope for ebike growth because of my own experience as a newcomer. 5 years ago I looked into ebikes, and dismissed them completely because of form factor, availability, and performance. I put ebikes completely out of my mind until a month ago. I am delighted to find I have many...

How hard do you negotiate for that eBike?

Are local retail buyers really getting 25-30% discounts on late models (excluding close outs and fire sales)? My small sample of one indicates that a rock-bottom Internet purchase (including shipping, having to assemble, and no clear place to go to for warranty service) would only achieve a 20%...

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

I'll get a better photo next time I'm near one of those signs. In the meantime, look at the rest of the picture - you will see two clear depictions of bicycles, which do not match the bottom left picture, which clearly depicts a motorcycle. Also, go to the website of the agency that put up the...

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

There is no explicit ban of ebikes. That is just an assertion on a crazy website by some group calling themselves 'Friends of Santa Ana River Trail' who have no actual authority. Check out this shouty jem from their website: Ok Mom!
