    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

Bud, Thank you for taking the time to describe your experiences on your Dash. Range is a tricky thing. It is affected mechanical, electrical and human factors, and can be quite subjective when trying to diagnose. Firstly I would advise to have all the simple things like air pressure and...

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

Congrats, and uh oh! Congrats on using the TOP SECRET SOFTWARE HACK to fine tune your bike. Uh oh on the grinding wheel. I would advise that you have your dealer take a look at it. You just may have a loose magnet or two. There was a batch of bad wheels out there. If that is the case, we...

    Currie E3 Path won't assist above 14MPH

Wagongw, It looks like we're all here to help you. Everyone has a lot of great ideas. My first question is whether the bike is a 2012-2013 E3 Path, or the newer 2014 or the brand new 2015 E3 Path Plus. The older Path, is VERY different than the newest ones.

Danny, There is a TOP SECRET SOFTWARE HACK, that you can try to trim the power a bit. I'm not exactly sure if it's completely across the board, but it's easy to do and reverse if you don't like the results. TOP SECRET SOFTWARE HACK: Once you're powered up, hold the on/off again for 10 or so...

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

Dash, We are having everyone return the bad hubs, because the shell that contains the magnets is exchangeable. We would not expect anyone to switch out their original stator/axle/controller assembly to the new shell/spokes/rim, so we have been replacing the entire wheel. Likely the returned...

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

wwjd, Like HH said, the peg, has a tooth that is used to hold the BB in position as you tighten the left cup. The right side cup can be installed without the BB in there at all. When finally tightening the left cup is where all trouble is. If not properly held, by the peg, or any other means...

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

wwjd, This blinking decimal point has never been seen before. I'm not certain how to respond to that at all.....yet. As for the new BB, my thoughts are that it was damaged upon installation, or the white line was not placed properly on the spindle. We have had a select few times that the...

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

Daniel, I just looked at their account and other info, and cannot see anything about a Dash BB, anytime recently from that store. Since we're all just back from Interbike last week, we're on catch-up mode, so it may be on our to-do list, however, if it's been over a week, that doesn't seem...

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

Mr. DashRiprock, All good questions! The 2015 Dash wheel and the 2014 is the same. There may be a sticker difference only, to match with the 15 bike graphics. Functionally and hardware is the same. Of course all have the new extra strong magnet bonding inside! The "Dish" of the rear wheel...

Daniel, That sounds good. Have them give us a ring 888-377-7115, and we'll get a new BB out to you quickly. The swap-out should be pretty quick once at the store.

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

Paul, The BB issue was nothing more than some poorly tightened BB cups. The unit itself works great, when properly installed. When left too loose, they slowly rotate in the shell and damage the wires.

It should be mostly the same. Maybe a slight software update and new paint job. All the same performance though. (Link Removed - No Longer Exists)

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

Daniel, Sorry to hear about the trouble with your bike. Please have your bike shop check it out. E4 may be just connector related, and you may not need a new BB. It would be best to have them do a little inspection. I'm certain we an get a new BB out to them quickly if that is what is...

    2014 Currie IZIP E3 DASH

Excellent! Keep that Dash dashing! There are different compound brake pads that might serve you better. Everyone rides differently, in different terrain, with different weather.......you name it. I found this on Amazon, but there are other listings...

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

It does take a standard Shimano cassette removal tool and a chain whip. The rest should be easy to move the tire and rotor over.

    E3 Dash malfunction help?

Mark, Sorry for the trouble with your new bike. I think everyone beat me to it, but gave you great advice. It may be as simiple as a loose wire up front, behind the LCD screen and the thumb-pad. It's pretty easy to check, by opening the backing panel on both with their little Phillips screws...

Blown motor on E3 Dash with 29 miles on it

twowheeler, It does sound like this is a magnet issue. I'm sure we can swap out your wheel to the new batch of "super bonding" glue. It would be best to have your local shop call us to arrange, but if you need, we can send it to you directly. It only takes a few minutes for a shop with the...
