Yes Tom, you are likely right. Mine had a small sticker on the frame that is now missing...

2020 Allant 9.9S Grinding Noise from motor or is it?

Hey guys. Mine has only 350 miles, so a bit early. Had a similar sound and spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out the origin. It would go in an out, quiet for 20 miles, and then the noise would come strongly. In the end, it was aligned with the cadence of the wheels not the motor...

First warm and nice weather day with my new Trek Allant 8s

Very nice bike. You will have a ball. My wife and i have had Trek SuperCommuter 8+'s, and I now have an Allant 9.9S (my SuperCommuter was stolen). TBH we have never really felt we need another battery pack. Totally based on your ride distance, what you are using the bike to accomplish (like...

    Class 3 police?

Totally agree with TMH. I have had Trek class 3 bike for the past three years. There is no distinction out in the field for class 3. We went on a bike tour with one of the major bike companies, and actually asked if we could use our bikes rather than theirs. They told us that we might have...

    Allant 9.9S issues and questions

Hi Guys - you can turn on the Strava stuff in the Cobi app under settings and connected services. Same place where you connect up Apple health so it can read your heart rate from an Apple watch. Have not played with Strava, but when using the Apple heath app, it cancels out double counting of...

    Hitch Rack for Supercommuter+ 8S

I have the Thule T2 XT Pro, and have carry two SC's with zero problems. They have been from NJ to AZ and back, as well as NJ to FL twice. Maybe that's something you can try. Problem is you have to lift them. Perhaps that is what you were trying to avoid.

    Allant+ 9.9S Trigger Shifter-Ongoing, unresolved..NOW, somewhat resolved

Hi Mike, Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I am just being too sensitive. ;) And maybe I was just used to the SC 8+ Other than that, all good with mine!

    Allant+ 9.9S Trigger Shifter-Ongoing, unresolved..NOW, somewhat resolved

Sorry to hear you are still having trouble. I will take special note to see if I see the same shifting issues when I take the bike to FL next week. Driving down on 10th to St. Pete, and then back on the 25th or so. We are driving, but daughters down flying down there 14th to 21st, so not sure...

    Allant headlight blinking

Mine is still steady and I just had it at the dealer. Guess I will have to get that changed. Like the idea of blinking in daylight, makes you more visible.

2020 Trek Verve +3 BRAND NEW on USA Website

I agree, which is why I do not have another battery. TBH, we rarely go over 50 miles in a day. A few years ago, I rode from NJ to Vermont over 5 days with only one battery. Longest day was 70 miles. Did about 30 miles early, then stopped for a big brunch to charge up, and did the last 40...

Why do the Dutch not wear bike helmets?

Yes, amazing bike infrastructure, almost replicating roads. You can cycle from town to town on bike paths, following the red signs. Totally separated from auto roads. We were there for 4 years, returned to USA about 3 years ago. Loved both the Netherlands and riding. Never wore a helmet...

    Allant 9.9s rack bolt

Just went out to take a look at mine. It is off as well a bit. Have not done anything. One other thing I mentioned to the LBS. When out riding, the cell phone holder bolts worked loose. Lost one, but the other worked loose as well and lost the nut. Took the bolt to a hardware store, and...

New Trek Allant 9.9s on order

As I am sure you are aware, you can buy another power tube. They swap out just like the old batteries. Are a bit longer and thinner, but snap in and out with the key. I take mine out all the time, when we want to charge remotely. We were at a friends house, and no outlet by the bikes. Just...

New Trek Allant 9.9s on order

Nice! I have about 300 miles on my 9.9 right now (did about 1,600 on a Supercommuter before it was stolen). Live in NJ, and will relocate to FL this summer/fall. We plan to use the Allant/Supercommuters to replace a vehicle. Recently got rid of my daily driver, so we are one less car due to...

2020 Trek Verve +3 BRAND NEW on USA Website

The short answer in our experience is about 50 miles. I have an Allant 9.9 with gen 4 Bosch speed motor and 625 battery. My wife has the SuperCommuter with gen 3 Bosch speed and 500 battery. We rode from St Petersburg to Dunedin and back one day a few months ago. In Florida, 14 to 16 mph...

Good choice on ebike...buying today need advice please

Key just locks the battery in place. You can charge it on the bike, but you can never replace the battery, or take it inside. If you go to re-key it, I am sure the dealer will check to see if it is stolen.

2020 Turbo Vado - Early Impressions!

I have two Trek bikes. Supercommuter 8+ and Allant 9.9. Both bikes weigh in at just over 50 lbs or so. I did not look at the 1Up, so really cannot comment on that one. I struggled between the Thule T2 Pro XT and the Kuat. In the end I went with the Thule and do love it. My buddy bought the...

Good choice on ebike...buying today need advice please

My Trek Supercommuter was stolen off the back of my car. Not having the battery key is a dead giveaway, and you can also check with a dealer. I listed mine as stolen so if it goes to a shop it theoretically would be picked up. So be careful.
