Bob, You can download the app on US App Store and then purchase the two custom modes if you want. AT least this is available for iPhone users. I believe Android as well.

Bob, I went through the UK App store after I changed my Apple ID to UK. I did not use my cc as I didn't buy the custom upgrades. At the time I was of the understanding that a US cc would not work. But now you can download the app and also buy the custom mode upgrade directly from the US app store.

I believe there are two ports, one for front light, one for rear light, both controlled by whatever Bosch controller (ie Nyon, Intuvia, etc)

You might want to try an bike specific chain from KMC or others. I get around 1500 miles per chain, never let it stretch out too far. Also I clean and oil it every 50-75 miles. Use the bike mostly on paved bike paths. A lot has to do with your weight, riding style, weather, etc. My riding buddy...
