    Bike comparison...Yukon 750 and Surface 604 Colt.

Just curious @Joe EE, with less than 100 mi on the Yukon, seemingly quite happy with it, why did you get the Surface 604?

My Teo out and about in Mississauga.....

Thanks for the info. Love your bar bag, ROCKBROS makes nice stuff. I think any seat will need to be trained, in a manner of speaking. I'm sure you'll eventually feel no pain. I'll play with that adjustment screw under the seat, could use more movement. Noticed in your garage you have a Red...

    Looking for a thumb throttle?

Found this on the Radrover Facebook group, from a fellow called Jim Nadeau. Could not be any easier or cheaper. I'll put a black one myself. Good old zip tie.

    Other model?

As a Thanks for the suggestion. As a matter of fact I did, or should I say 'she' did, she does not particularly like the look of it, industrial, delivery bike, steampunk are some of the words she used... Guess the front rack is an issue for her. Mind you she was not thrilled with the...

Decent explanation of Pedal Assist vs Throttle

That is worrying and hopefully it will not start a trend. I feel privileged to ride 'bicycle' trails & paths; I act accordingly, we all should. If it looks like a bicycle, has pedals, let it be treated as a bicycle. Darn.

    Other model?

You know gas is not cheap in Canada, true. But we love visiting everywhere, next spring we're leaving for our Western trek for 4-5 months: North West US and Canada. We have relatives on the island, so we'll take the ferry to Victoria for sure. Even at 9 mpg, it's still cheaper than flying in...

Decent explanation of Pedal Assist vs Throttle

I agree completely, I like it : The Zen of Cycling. Many of my friends, true cycling enthusiasts, have issues with E-bikes in general, but they're thinking more of those little E scooters. I think we all have to respect cyclists, and pedalling is a good way to show it.

    Other model?

We love it, very comfy. Going on 8 years of RVing. Fully retired we enjoy travelling. We spend most of the winter down south: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas. Last winter we took it all the way down to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico for 3 months. It will be a lot more fun with the E-bikes now.

    Other model?

Looks like the Voltbike Mariner will fit the bill for my wife. Will fit easy with my Téo at the back of our RV 5th Wheel. The rack at the back is rated for 450 lbs. More to follow.

Decent explanation of Pedal Assist vs Throttle

Please post when you find out the Téos are in!

Congrats @Jazzcat, a great day and what an E-bike. Glad you like it as much as us. It is indeed a well put together bike. I saw both a Sondors and Radrover a few days ago. I like my Téo much better. Even if the Red is not exactly the Red I wanted, I love it. I suspect it goes so fast, the...

Hi and looking for any tips others have

Hi Shaun. I'm in Whitby Ontario and am also newish. I suggest you look around this site, there is much to learn from it. Lots of reviews, lots of relevant Canadian info too. YouTube is also a great resource. Establish your budget and how you'd like to use your E-bike. This will help you...

Strava - Exercise GPS tracking app

They do not. Only use GPS. I use an old phone, no longer on any network, but it works fine with a good GPS and wifi connectivity. Once you connect, through wifi, your phone, it uploads your session/workout, so you can work on it.

Strava - Exercise GPS tracking app

Nice idea. RE: Free version. Call it a professional courtesy. I worked in software development for many years, and free versions always rubbed me the wrong way. Worth the few bucks a month to help financially and remove the ads. IMHO.

    Pedal Assist... a revelation! DOH!

I think I like 1. Pedal first 2. Twist the throttle to move forward My grand kids were playing with the buttons... Can you imagine? Could be very dangerous. As a matter I would have liked to have the key play the main role of driving off, as opposed to a support role in just locking the...
