    More and more e-bikes!

You act like bikes that zoom past people are only throttle bikes. Hardly the case and bikes with throttles are doing nothing to hurt ebike exposure. There are bad apples on every form of bike. My wife and I ride 20 + miles on our throttle equipped ebikes most weekends and the only people...

Which Lock for e-bike (Explore E+ 1 GTS)?

I watched a lot of his videos and why I chose a chain lock. The flexibility and hard to cut. He is a rare breed with his lock picking skills so I don't worry about the average thief having them.

Which Lock for e-bike (Explore E+ 1 GTS)?

Yes I wanted enough length so I could lock up to anything. The cable is just another thing the thief would have to cut off so it makes the bike take longer to steal.

Which Lock for e-bike (Explore E+ 1 GTS)?

This is what I got but you can spend more for a better one. I searched amazon when I looked. The thicker the chain, the harder it's going to be to cut through it. I don't leave my bike anywhere for more than 30 minutes so I didn't go to crazy with a bigger chain but I would if I had to leave in...

Which Lock for e-bike (Explore E+ 1 GTS)?

I use a heavy chain and lock. 6lbs, Some weigh up to 11 lbs. A chain cannot be cut with bolt cutters. So I use a chain with a cable that I run through the front wheel and seat. I have thought about getting locking nuts for the quick release on the wheels too to make it more difficult. I switched...

Preventing/overcoming flats in the Rad Rover

I like the idea of just installing 2 oz of Stans in my tube if I get a flat and not have to put a patch on the tube. How does the 2 oz bottle work? Do you just remove valve stem or do you need a syringe of sorts to install the Stans?

    Bike class restrictions

I see a lot of people tuning there class1 ebikes so they can go a little faster than 15 or 20 mph. They talk like people are riding bikes at over class 3 speeds which isn't the case. I'm sure there are plenty of Juice type ebike people who can go faster than allowed but you don't see any...

What Info are you looking for on a display???

The Yamaha display pretty much nails it for everything I could want. I also prefer a smaller display as I don't need to know everything as I'm riding.

    Looking for e-roadbike pedelec

Since 99% of ebikes weigh more than 28 lbs your not going to get very far.Maybe extend your search to 35 lbs. The thing about ebikes is the motor takes care of the weight. You don't feel it. I tried a search on road bikes and got this. https://electricbikereview.com/category/road/ I'm sure...

83 years old and bought 1st ebike!

I love seeing post like this. Just confirms that you don't have to be young to get on a bike and ride just like the rest of us. I'm sure this helps add to a longer life as well. I hope i can still ride at his age but that's 23 years away:)

Asking for the Collective Wisdom here....... Battery Fires ???

Battery fires are very rare. I have only seen one fire on here in over a year and it was a home made battery. Batteries from the factories are better made. It takes a dead short to start a fire and that would involve a bad accident where the battery got hit hard. The cells used in our packs are...

    velomini 3 help please

36 volt will certainly be faster but your motor is not rated for this and may not last very long. Same with controller. I suppose if your careful and watch for heat in the motor and make sure your controller can take the extra voltage then maybe. An external battery is a good idea, maybe make...

    velomini 3 help please

I don't know your bike or battery. Load testing a battery is not easy if you don't know how to do it. Some batteries make it harder than others. To me your bike is behaving like it has a tired battery and that is enough load test if it were my bike. Do a search on your bike and find out if...
